'not for human consumption?' Damn it, no cheap food for me today.

    • You're a field. Eat up! ;-)

    • If you were a TRUE ozbargainer you'd eat it anyway and consider yourself all the smarter for having scored cheap food despite their "not for human consumption" policy.

  • I think it should also be edible for humans. Ozbargainers wouldn't mind saving a buck or two having this for lunch. Should be cheaper than a meal at the food court.

It's probably the same meat as what you get in the foodcourt.

    • a little bit of tomato sauce and it will be yum lol

It's perfectly edible. Goes great with Mi Goreng!

50% of Pedigree dog food is at Woolies?

    • +2

your dog goes to woolworths and eats the 50% there…

  • So only 50% isn't for human consumption. How do you tell which 50%????

    • +7

the 50% that you are eating is not for human consumption

    • Sorry being stupid. Friday afternoon. Would suggest changing "of" to "off".

        done. god/good catch

Great deal if you don't like your dog, though it might be cheaper to get some factory seconds pavers from your local landscape supplier. Has the same nutritional values.

  • Can Humans eat this?

    • +7

Of course they can. This sort of stuff has been sustaining pensioners in this country for generations.

      • i find that urban myth leaves a bad taste in my mouth!(pun intended)
however, our dogs eat way better than a lot of people in third world countries, without contradicting what OP said, these people can only dream of eating so well, so sad :(

Protip for pensioners: A tin of baked beans has more useable protein in it than a tin of dog food, and is cheaper, too.

    • -2

It really sucks that pensioners get paid similar from the government to people on the dole who just dont bother to work (and blow their dole on cigarrets/illicit drugs/abusing prescription drugs/gambling)…

      • +1

        pensioners get almost double

        • Yep. Newstart is just over half what you get on the disability or aged pension.

  • Not sure the "Not for Human Consumption" was needed as further clarification…. Pedigree Dog Food is pretty clear cut imo :).

Plus vote because pretty good price for people who normally buy this 'food' for their dogs however.

(cough cough…. Eukanuba is the best…. cough cough) ;)

    • Eukanuba & IAMS I think you mean…. Basically the same company I think… Great deal atm @ Petbarn on Eukanuba if you have a puppy…
