    Are you sure?

Under NZ labelling laws, some of this might be imported and they don't need to tell you….

And that's why I don't touch NZ made stuff.

Same, NZ isn't to be trusted as it's a gateway for china…

Every lie is half-truth & vice versa.
Now we know it's 1/2 from the remote native forests of New Zealand.

    Time to make some mead.

  • Their website suggests that this is 100% native NZ honey and not some abomination like Capilano and its sub brands peddle.

    • Yeah, well… Capilano claimed the same… so I buy locally. Costs more, but at least I know the bees didn't come as illegal migrants.

        From Aboriginal (non-illegal) bees?

I buy mine from a local supplier, all locally sourced, no additives and only $15 for 1.5kg, it's great value. I suggest you seek out a local supplier in your area and support them where possible.

    • I got given a tub of natural honey and it's a PITA to deal with - crystalizes at the drop of a hat and won't reliquify easily like store-bought honey. The only way it's usable is by putting a few tablespoons at a time in 5 mls of water and microwaving it.

Looks like it's heat treated so you don't get antibacterial components and the beneficial enzymes in it.
Would only buy raw and unfiltered honey.
