I've got the same config for half the price in Sydney with OVH.

Edit: Almost the same. 2 x 2TB HDD on mine.

    • Last time I checked Australian OVH Servers were limited at 250Mbps and do not have a Gigabit port option. Due to the nature of them being a large company, you may have difficulties contacting them if there are hardware issues with the server. Picking a local Australian owned business you are supporting the local economy as well as receiving quality support and services. Which OVH configuration do you have?

      Regards,
      Nathan

Yes, they are good reasons to choose your products but doesn't make them a baragian. This isn't OZOurBestPrice.

        • Is your server on a dedicated Gigabit port and is it a v6 generation or the v5 that they currently have on their website? Comparing HDDs against SSDs is a large difference between the two.

          Regards,
          Nathan

          • @ServersGalore: It's not a bargain mate.

            • @crc32: The same configuration compared against others in Australian data centres is a bargain. There are many other companies that charge extreme premiums for having their servers in Australia.

              • @ServersGalore: Also, the only way you can get that price is by paying for a year upfront which makes it even less of a "bargain".

                • @crc32: I'm going to stop replying to this thread. It clearly states in the description that it is valid on 3, 6 and 12 month plans.

                  • @ServersGalore: But the "baragain" prices you you mention are for paying for 12 months up front. The Sydney server, for example, is $180 a month for 3 months.

    • CRC32 you need to compare apples to apples, can you provide a link to a similar (SSD/GIGABIT) product?

      • I can. RansomIT, a locally owned company that I've been dealing with for many years, have the IDENTICAL configuration in Sydney for $170/month as their normal price. https://www.ransomit.com.au/dedicated_servers/

It's $166/month if you pay for 3 in advance.

        • That is a much better comparison compared to OVH.

          • @ServersGalore: Yes, and no "specials" needed to get that price either

            • @crc32: It is an impossible expectation to have every single item at the exact same price. You are expecting that each service is identical and the same and should be treated that way. Theres many variables that go into pricing and its not plausible to expect ours to be identical to others.

              • @ServersGalore: We're here to assess bargains that people post not do company audits. Your offerings may be good products but they are not bargains.

        • Agree, not a bargain

  • Percentage has been increased to 30% to compete with other companies. It will stay active until a full restock is available.

    • That's a much better deal to post - I'd give it a + vote if I could.

      • I wasn't going to as I don't know enough about dedicated server hosting pricing, i run my owner host.

So I'll give the plus 1 for you.

  • We have a handful of servers in stock. In Melbourne we have the following:

I just ordered a dedicated Melbourne-based server, I think anyone would struggle to find a better price than what they're offering with 30% off with similar specs.
Shout out to Nathan who's been answering my many questions since yesterday, so quickly I assumed I'd just received an automated reply acknowledging my contact submission! You've made the process as easy as can be, thanks again mate :)
