JB Hi-Fi Price Drop Difference

Hi,

I purchased a laptop from Jb Hi-Fi 9 days ago using my normal debit card. The laptop cost was around $2500 and Store gave me a discount of $200 which dropped the price to $2300 and I was told that is the best they can do. Now I saw the same laptop cost only $1999 which a 20% discount. Anyway I can get the difference back?

    So Op, you wrangled a deal $200 cheaper than the advertised price & now your upset that the store is running a discount on computers & you could have potentially saved another $300 had you known the future?

    As for the store they have done nothing wrong it is as they say just bad timing. You are not entitled to a extra $300 refund, you agreed & completed the transaction for the agreed price; the fact that a sale came a week later is inconsequential.

        They may decide to do so, as an act of goodwill; but they are not obligated to do so.

    What did the store say when you asked them?

  • Contact the store and ask to speak to a manager. Explain, and see what they can do. While nine days is a bit on the long side IMHO, most stores would be more than happy to either refund or gift card the difference.

    Be polite, and remember that they actually owe you nothing (unless you haven't opened the product yet - in which case it is refundable within 30 days IIRC).

    Or get a Delorean. That might work too.

        They were cool. Just checked the receipt and made the refund straight away. Thanks for the help
