how do you use it as a laptop stand?

    • Add a VESA laptop tray

    • +1

It has +90* tilt so that might mean you could tilt it all the way up and attach a tray to the VESA mount.
Not sure I would be quite game to trust a laptop on it…

      • Interesting. Good to know.

  • Whats the difference between this one and the North Bayou F80?

  • So question does anyone have one and are they good? I want to move from my traditional 2 monitor stand and go to a strut.

  • Off topic: On the subject of Screen stands…….Would like something like this with a good 1 meter long "clip mount" flexible arm capable of supporting up to a 13" screen from a bedhead i.e. to bring a screen down to watch in bed :-) Any suggestions………..got to ask as perhaps somebody here already has such a thing? I know……totally off topic (kind of)!

  • I've never used a strut stand. My desk goes against a wall - I presume that would make a strut stand like this unsuitable?

    • Nah should be more usable as you should be able to turn the bottom one at a 90degree. I can't explain it well, have a look here. It should help explain how I mean.

      • Thanks, that was spot on, much appreciated.

  • Darn, now that I know this may suit my desk, I learn my monitor (31.5" astivista) is 7kg :-( 0.5kg too heavy.

Also, which is there a restriction to max 27" monitors - is that just a guide for weight, or is there some other limitation that means it couldn't be used on a 31.5" if it was light enough?
