I came across this deal while browsing for a decent vacuum robot which also mops.

Both models are FBA and the main difference without going into details is that the T8 has a camera. EDIT I'm not sure it has a camera now I've read the comments. Still, if it can avoid cords and stuff it's still good. I'm not really going to log in and watch it roll around the home anyway.

ECOVACS OZMO 950 Robotic Vacuum Cleaner - $799 after applying the promo EVSOZMO95 - RRP is $999

Ecovacs DEEBOT OZMO T8 Robotic Vacuum Cleaner - $999 after applying the promo ECOVACST8 - RRP is $1299

Don't forget your cashback.

Note: The 950 has 757 ratings at 4.3 star average. The T8 has no rating but I put it there as it has a front camera with smart object detection.

I'm also rarely on here so if you have questions, best to Google it as it is extremely likely that I wouldn't know the answers.

  • I’ve had mine for almost a year and it’s the best thing ever till recently. I’ve noticed she’s taking longer to clean the same area, will get stuck in places she’s never gotten stuck before or just randomly stop without telling you why

We used to hire a housekeeper to come by once a fortnight and spruce the place up, but had to let her go as she was exhibiting exactly the same issues.

      • This is exactly why AI / robots / androids / machines will replace most human in the future.

    • Do you know if they make a "he" model?

      • Only the ones that don't use mopping pads

  • +1

I think the S6 Pure and S5 Max at $799 and $849 for local stock and warranty through Roborock Australia (and free delivery) is a better deal and has better reviews.

  • I wonder if @Ecovacs can clarify the difference between this T8 and the T8 AIVI available at JB Hi Fi?

Edit I cant workout how to tag a user, ah well

    • +1

Ecovacs emailed me this when checking which model is compatible with the self emptying bin

" OZMO T8 is a basic model without AIVI camera/AES.
OZMO T8+ is a basic model with an AES but without AIVI camera.
OZMO T8 AIVI comes with a camera installed which can record video & you can check on the phone but no AES.
However, the Auto Empty Station can be purchased separately & it is compatible with OZMO T8 AIVI."

OZMO T8 DOES NOT HAVE THE AIVI.

      • This was my understanding too, not sure the $1,299 is really reflective of this model then. Feel like $999 should be standard price. Maybe I'm wrong there

        • I don't think $999 is the RRP for the T8. Maybe it's just an older model but for $300 off, it's worth trying it out for me. As long as it can still avoid stuff on the ground like toys and cords.

      • Camera in the AIVI is also used for AI obstacle avoidance.. it’s programmed with a library of common obstacles like shoes, cables, pet poop etc.. but the algorithm is programmed to learn to recognize new objects it commonly encounters and avoid them.

  • Check out vacuum wars for review.
T8 is awesome. Also future upgrade to self emptying and vibrating mop pad.

Been looking at max S5 for months. This T8 looks amazing.

But some reviews haven't been glowing vs roborock which has been around for years rock solid.

    • Be careful there are different models of T8, see comments above. Vacuum wars reviewed the AIVI model from memory

    • Check out the XCLEA H30 Pro

      • Are you giving this a review or saw it pop on Facebook like me? I looked into it and can’t find any info except for a subscribe button on their site. Looks very dodgy to me and no reviews that I can find. I wouldn’t be handing over my hard-earned cash to these guys.

        • It's not available yet and it's backed by Huawei and supported by them like the roborock were with xiaomi. Spec wise it outperform eveything on paper

          • @DoesntEvenMatter: So I’d wait at least for some reviews from the likes of vacuum wars before recommending a new unseen product. Have been plenty of gadgets that look great on paper but have failed to live up to the hype/specs.

            • +1

@Doowyah: I said to check it out not purchase it, and I said that for its a combination of roborock and deebot.

  • Just hit the 15 months since I got the Ecovacs Deebot 710($480)

Have been very happy with it.

  • Don't forget your cashback.

Pretty sure it'll be declined on cashrewards. You may not be eligible for Cashback: If a coupon code is used that is not listed on Cashrewards.
