How long do these last? I am going to build a pool in a year, can I store this for that long? and how many times can it be used?

    • I reckon that's no problem. I've been using my first one for like 3 years now, the only thing I ran out are chlorine tablets. Wish they'd sell them separately at a good price…

      • Thanks, made my mind up to buy one, for $5 you can't go wrong.

        • I bought the same or very similar from Bunnings a bit over 3 years ago and it was still good last Summer. Pretty sure I paid about $30 for it so for $5 can't go wrong.

We do have our pool professionally cleaned and serviced but this was good using Summer (high usage times) to just check important levels every few days.

    • Mine has lasted a long time as I used it once and then went back to using the strips because it easier :)

  • YES. Thanks P&SWH :D

  • Purchased, thank you !

Thanks, grabbed a kit. I use kits like this just to stay on top of things.

That said, if pool owners really want to figure out how to manage a pool properly, educate yourself at https://www.troublefreepool.com/ . Take your time, read and re-read, invest in a really good test kit and stay on top of your testing. You'll do much better, and it will be cheaper in the long run than using a poor test kit and/or making weekly trips to the local pool franchise where they have 100% markup on chemicals.

This is the best test kit that OP has: https://poolandspawarehouse.com.au/taylor-complete-pool-spa-… . There are alternatives, but generally in Australia your choice is limited. Prices are cheaper if you look around. I held off for a long time, but if you're sick of your pool getting out of control and all of a sudden going green, you need a decent kit and to use it regularly.

    Roll on summer.

The test kit from clearchoicelabs is the recommended one in Australia. Had mine for a bit and getting through fixing a few issues more. Don't want to drain to get the calcium down.

      • Seconded. These are the kits to buy

      • Yeah, I just didn't want to say the vendor, and rain on OP's parade

        • That very nice. Of course the clearchoicelabs is still expensive, but at least it's not over $300

Sweet thanks, just need a pool deal now

  • Got one of these for father's day a couple years back, tempted to do the same again lol

    These are great kits.

  • Thanks again!

  • Missed out last few times. Search alert saved me this time. Cheers, OP

    • How do you do search alert?

  • So weird, I was thinking about buying a kit and this pops up. Thanks

  • Already sold out. So quick.

  • Phew got 1 just in time!

Was a good deal, similar kit at Bunnings is $55.95!

  • Missed this, i got one last year, good kit…

  • Will this defect the pee I leave in my neighbours pool ?

  • I have come… to test ze pool

  • Bloody hell been waiting for this for ages and missed it

    • Same

  • That is crazy low price. I run a pool shop and that is way under cost price. Congrads to who picked them up. Cant see it coming around too often.
