I used to have crane 2. Was running smooth with Pocket 4k and Sigma 18-35.
You need be more specific about how its terrible.
Zhiyun dropped support quite early. The app was buggy for android (that's putting it nicely, it didn't work at all for a large number, indicated by the complaints online). It also didn't meet the load capacity for some combinations (camera and lens) that it outlined online.

Nice design and good product. The handle method make it really easier to use. However, teffible software and bad support.
this was my experience with the weebill lab too. I just did a google on their latest Crane 3S model and it is the same story. A shaky motor issue that Zhiyun have yet to fix despite complaints.
I am waiting the parcel of DJI sc, hope it will work better than my previous Crane 3 lab.

Need to read the reviews rather than checking the stars. More often than not it’s the negative reviews that are most helpful - at least to me.
Either way: it appears I looked up an old device anyway.
DJI Ronin-S Essentials Kit $640 at Amazon, better than this? Or wait for Zhiyun CRANE 2S?
I'd go with the DJI personally.
New ronin rs2 is about to drop I would wait unless you have a use for this now.

Does anyone own the Crane 3? I have the Weebill Lab that was terrible from day 1.
