      That's clearly because of the war between US and China, Huawei in particular. However, I don't think that P40+ is a deal, with or without bonus smart watch, and this is a phone without Google Pay.

      Still, amazing hardware, probably the best, if you don't care about not having Google Pay.

      P40 Pro 5G is 1297.00 on Amazon.

    Maybe for the unaware you could warn people about the lack of future updates for Huawei phones? Since it is a Huawei focused deal

      I'd warn people against buying a Huawei because there may be limited direct replacements on warranty due to them running out of parts

      Production will close on September 15

      No hardware support and also no more security updates

      Pretty sure there are plenty of people that aren't happy with the way the price of flagships are going up so fast. Good that there's a lot of out there these days across a wide range of prices (including for Apple) to fill the void.

        My P9 Plus (international) got 1 security update, and the only reason why I got that was I went overseas.

        It's still going strong after installing lineageos on it, but I wish they kept the bootloader unlock process available.

      Or, they will update the existing phones to a new OS, the Harmony OS. I am so excited. I bet that it'll be much better than the Google android environment as people can keep using TikTok, WeChat,Weibo, Taobao and AliPay!!! Guess that over 1.4 billion people may choose this OS too. Hope they will make an English version.

    In China, the evaluations of the p40 pro+ are universally high, everyone there looks at it like the ultimate phone. Granted no google doesn’t affect them .

    what main camera module does this P30 Lite have? GSM Arena lists it has having either a 48mp 1/2 inch sensor, OR a 24MP, unknown (but probably small) sensor size.

    I dont understand why the Huawei P30 Pro is still over $900, when its been below this price point many times this year. The phone is 1.5 years old now, the Android updates are going to start drying up, as will spare parts for repairs. This phone should be $850 or less at this stage. Seems like Huawei or stores selling this phone are trying to keep up prices to make up for losses or lack of sales on newer Huawei phones that dont have GMS.

    I am not against huawei and I don't think any consumer should as competition is always good for us. but they really should start discount their products much more to compensate the lack of Google.
