I was looking around for a cheap webcam, I found a lot of reviews on Amazon for this chinese model.
It's selling for around $70

But I found it on ebay for $21

No idea on the actual quality but I will update once it arrives.

  • Good find :)

  • ordered one. It's cheap and can't be worse than my laptop camera.

  • Pretty cheap! Gonna give it a shot. Thanks.

There appear to be several all the same with slightly different black/grey on eBay for $21-23. Not sure if this is a bargain or not…

    • Some of them do say Aus stock as well… but who knows about the quality.

      • I saw some of the others, this was the cheapest I found that had the shortest shipping time, the others were all like 2 weeks.

  • says US seller, listed as item location Sydney and ebay account under CHINA… another drop ship from china that you'll have to wait for over 2 months???

    • Estimated delivery: 2 – 10 Sep
We'll send you email confirmation soon.

    • definitely china, most reviews are from buyers in USD and GBP

  • $22.91 now

    • That's terrible…

    • +1

      damn I missed out again.

  • It's down to $22.62 now!

    • Back to 21.50 for me haha

  • LOL price fluctuates more than the share market

  • I'm extremely keen for people to post their reviews on this, given how ludicrously expensive webcams are right now.

    Wanting to know:

    a) what is the colour accuracy like? does it have easy options to re-calibrate? (eg. some lockout functions like hue)
    b) how grainy is the image in normal and low light? how is the sharpness?
    c) what's the microphones like
    d) is it truly 75 degrees? *(note: 75 is pretty tight, 90 or 110 would be better but these knockoffs are notoriously unreliable on being the stated degrees anyhow).

    • how do people normally post reviews? Come back to this post or wait till the next deal?

      • I hope they come back and post! That's how I've done it in the past… given this is an 'ongoing deal', seems most appropriate place too

        • well i bought it so come back in a few weeks and I'll remember to post

      • the problem with these knockoffs is the quality hugely varies.

I've seen youtube videos where the same device was praised, then another where it's condemned and not just because of opinion —- you can literally see in the videos a huge variation in the quality of the camera (especially colour calibration) where some people luck out and get a good or terrible experience.

this can either be a result of
        a) a bad batch
        b) same product but a different seller
        c) differences in people's PC configuration (least likely case)

so given the link has been shared, if folks come back and share it'll help to at least reduce the variation in experience :)

    • Theres a lot more reviews/videos you can see on amazon.com for the same webcam.
It's also about $50 USD there and people seem pretty happy.

Overall seems video is pretty good, especially for the price and likely to be better than a stock laptop cam.
Downside is the audio sucks, but I won't be using it for this anyway.

I'll try remember to post a review once I receive mine, it was shipped today.

    • Just received mine and set up today. Cant comment much on the colour and saturation etc because I just dont have an eye for it, but it looks ok to me. Its a decent buy at this price IMO. The mic is pretty rubbish, but I use a headset so its been disabled anyway

      • Cheers Gracey for the feedback. Can you confirm the link/vendor/item you used to order?

        • No worries, I managed to grab it from the vendor in the OP, Owenforce eBay

I got mine and have been using it, it is deffo an upgrade from my laptop cam, brighter colours for sure.
I can't give a breakdown on any specifics, but I took some sample photos with just window lighting on my phone, laptop cam and this webcam.

I also got one of these to provide a bit more angle control as I switch seating positions quite a bit and also provide some beauty lighting, was $15, also doubles as a cheap desk lamp! You can get ones with webcam mounts but these are $10 more, the cam fits fine in the phone holder. 100% makes the cam way better, I didn't use it for the test photos.

    • You have a very clean room

  • I just got mine and I've been getting a USB Device Not Recognised problem. I've tried it on 3 different computers already and getting the same problem. Does anyone know how to fix this?
