Humble Bundle Voxatron Debut

500

Humble Bundle is on again, this time with Voxatron, which appears to still be in alpha. There appears to be no additional benefits (as a consumer) for paying above average; this may change though, as with the Frozen Synapse bundle they added extra games later on, even if you paid above average at the beginning when the price was still low. Of course, the money goes to a good cause, and you can choose how much money goes to the game dev and how much goes to charity.

They will have to add more stuff later because this is not a bundle - it is just one game that is still in Alpha…

    • +4

      They will, they always do…

      • +3

AAAAAAND… There it is! Binding of Isaac and Blocks that Matter!

  • +2

Unofficially confirmed 2 more games will be added, The Binding of Isaac and Blocks That Matter.

So get in quick if you don't want to pay the average price to get the extras games.
Historically all those who pay BEFORE the extra games are added will get them, regardless of the amount they paid.

I paid $1. I might add more if/when we get new games. I usually give em around $8.

  • No steam key this time, was hoping for one.

    • Later two games now have a Steam key.

    • +3

      Valid point.

But why dont u hang around before u neg it so fast?

    • +8

the game is going to be released at a RRP of $15, and you can buy it for 1 cent if you want to. That's a BARGAIN! OMG 99.933% off!
You WILL be able to get the full version on release.
That does appeal to some of us on OzBargain, so it IS appropriate.
The fact it is an alpha makes it MORE appealing for me.

HOWEVER IF all you want is finished games (more than 1 game not in beta/alpha), then this isn't the deal you are looking for.

    • +2

The big thing here is it is essentially free (minimum 0.01c), so I see this being a better deal than all that maritime junk that people are willing to shell out a buck for.

      • -3

I hate how they say you can pay anything, but when you put in an amount < $1.00 they guilt trip you. I am playing by the rules of YOUR game. Your main selling point is pay anything you want. If you don't like it, make the minimum price $1.00

        • +2

Nah, anyone who pays less that $1 is over the top tight-@ss and deserves to be guilt tripped IMO. They still let you pay whatever you want. Plus the guilt trip cartoon is quite amusing.

        looks like crap
        better looking games

Have you even played it? Or are you just going off a couple gameplay videos on Youtube.

The game is (essentially) free and you can put all your proceeds to charity. Why the hell does this deserve a downvote?

        • -7

No I watched the video clip on the website it self, utter crap. If the game is for 'free' as you say this should be moved to the forums not deals section.

      • +2

basing your views on how a game looks? sigh. people these days.

        • -8

LOL what else would you judge a GAME on! Might as well start posting every free game on itunes or android market here.

        • +7

maxixix, I don't know.. maybe the GAMEPLAY?

    • +2

      One word: Minecraft.

      • Ah I see what are you saying, starting to make sense now.

  • +5

I love how you can boost your payment at a later stage. Allows you to pick your price, play the game and add to it if you think they deserve a higher price. A great pricing model, wish there were more games like this.

  • +2

I don't get why anyone would neg this. It can effectively be an almost free game, and regardless of whether it's something you like I'm sure there'll be people out there who enjoy it. Personally it doesn't look like my thing, so I'm going to hold off for now and if they add more games I'll reconsider then.

  • +2

Awesome. Just paid $2. Will pay more later.

  • +3

Always love the Humble Bundle. Good games, good payment method, good causes.

  • is multiplayer planned?

That would make it so worth paying a lot.

  • +2

The 2 new games are added, AND they have a steam key too wicked!

    From HumbleBundle:
    "Hey there!
We’ve added two new games to the Humble Voxatron Debut! If you pay above the average price, you’ll receive receive two additional excellent, cross-platform, DRM-free indie games: The Binding of Isaac and Blocks That Matter, plus the brand new Binding of Isaac Halloween update! These two games are optionally redeemable on Steam.
    "

    • Cheers, just bought it.
