  • How does Trident Z RGB 16GB compare to HyperX Predator RGB 16GB 3200MHz CL16 ? I bought HyperX last week from Amazon at the same price, but this one looks nicer

    • +1

There wouldn't be a functional difference.

  • What's the difference between the flare and the trident besides the RGB?

    • +2

      Nothing.

  • I grabbed that 32gb Neo kit last month…. Can someone tell me I don't need to double up please?

    • +4

      You definitely need 64gb

      • +8

        Maybe even 128gb…

        • You guys aren't being helpful…

@MackemAB: I just bought 10 packs, never know when i need it ya know

    • You need atleast 64gb for academic purposes, comparing video quality and all on chrome

    • Because it is CL16-19-19-19-39. I doubt that's B-die. If it's not, then the price is only okay, not that great.
Also, if you are asking the question, you don't need 64GB. You just want that (your brain says no, your heart says yes).

As for the sake of just giving you a reason: Zen 3 and next gen GPUs are coming, investing on current gen hardware isn't worth it. However, with RAM and SSD prices dropping, you need some will power to resist.

      • I checked my kit and it's Hynix DJR. I absolutely don't need it.

  • are Corsair Vengeance Pro and Crucial Ballistick the only white RGB Ram available?

  • -1

Can ddr4 fit or work in a motherboard that is ddr3?

  • Im really trying hard to justify why I need 32gb atm

    • -1

Does anything take more than 16GB? Even Flight Sim is well below 16 haha

      • That's why I can't justify right now for the things I do lol

  • Should i wait for the ram price to drop more?

    Cheers op!

My current set are running at 3800mhz OC on a 3800x with infinity clock at 1900hmz

The FlareX 16GB is currently $99 at Umart

gskill 32g 3200 170 at computer alliance, no shipping fee no surcharges better and safer aftersale service

  • Rocking 32 GB on all 4 slots on a 3500X rig. Can't have enough rams imo.

  • Currently have 16gb flare x 3200mhz, should I buy another set to make it 32gb total?
Or Should go down different path and buy 16gb trident z 3600mhz?

Will be used with r5 3600 - Want to maximise performance on it.

Or maybe just save my money… But it's damn tempting

Thanks OP, got the G.skill 16GB. Been waiting for that to go under $100. Not sure how it will hold up combined with my other 2 sticks which are dual channel 2666Mhz, 16.

  • This g.skill flare X or Corsair 16GB (2x8GB) CMK16GX4M2A2666C16 DDR4 2666MHz Vengeance LPX DIMM Black for $95?

Will be running at 2666Mhz, assume 2x8 (dual channel) is better than 1x16gb

    Thanks
