  • I would wait for next tuesday for Nvidia to launch their next gen lineup and see what their mobile edition equivalent for their Geforce 3xxx series.

    • +2

True. But $500 saving is decent. Don't think this model will get much cheaper than this, this year

    • +3

you'll have to wait much longer for actual release of laptop with rtx3050m

      • I was wondering that and think you're right. It took over a year for availability of mobile rtx2xxx GPU's in laptops (with a few hacked exceptions). I can't wait that long

  • 1650TI tho

    • Not many laptops under 2k with a 1660 or greater (if any)

  • What's the difference between this and the FA506II-AL015T?

Specs looks to be the same, so why the different model number?

    • Maybe supplier specific ? Not sure honestly

    • Different colour and 2 yrs warranty?

  • Above average deal but certainly not great with a 1650ti.

  • I've heard that this laptop has issues with thermals
it it still worth for gaming?

    • I seen YouTube videos
Saying the same. But most reviews are good by common users

    • you can disable turbo boost for a significant reduction in cpu & gpu temps. the difference in gaming performance is minimal.

the screens on these are poor though. only 45% ntsc and ~20s response times.

      • Compared to the Acer 60hz screens though ?

        • i wouldnt get either tbh.

          • @la ciudad respirando: Need to get something sooner rather than later. $1000 was my
Original budget. Bumped it up to 1500 now

            • @Danstar: im not too sure about asus' warranty and if it covers international purchases, i was looking at this a few days ago but again the screen was a deal breaker for me

  • Although i'm a big fan of Ryzen, there are lots of thermal issue comments if you search around.
Asus Zephyrus is a much better variant with 2060 but unfortunately much more expensive (around 3K)

  • Do you know when this sale ends?

  • I have the same laptop but with the 1660t gpu and its great for the money spent. I'm not sure what people mean by thermal issues, yes it gets hot and the fan gets loud when its playing MS flight simulator but the game doesn't slow down or stutter.
People whinging about the screen and then comparing this with $3k laptops need to chill. I have a desktop with a beefy graphics card and a 1ms 144hz benq monitor if I need to smash face.

On the down side, the battery life is poor.
