SAAS Volt Gauge $1 + $7.95 Delivery @ Supercheap Auto via eBay

130

Seems like this is an actually obtainable deal, they must be clearing these out. Normal price seems to be around $50 or so.

  • Brings back some memories of my boost gauge on my WRX.

Maybe put it on the dash of your Volvo… For nostalgia.

        I have a Canyonero now.

  • I was going to use this as a cheap voltmeter but then I saw that it only measures from 8 to 18 volts.

    • cars run 14.4v max not 240v 😂😂

      • I think he meant for AA checking batteries and the like

        • Then this gauge would be useless as you wouldn't read anything under 8v

    • What happens when you go over the 18 volts? Sometimes my solar panel goes to 20 volts. Will it blow up or just stay at 0 or 18 volts?

      • You could put some surge protection. But that would probably cost more than this..

      • +1

+10% difference won't destroy this voltmeter, it'll just max out at 18. Blowing up is more for high voltages, where the cable/instrument isn't designed to withstand the voltage supplied and will physically deform due to the amount of energy present, for example, a cable rated 100v being subjected to 1000v or 15kv will shit itself the moment it gets connected.

    • Yeah…. you need a multimeter for that, just get a uni-t for 30 bucks and it will serve you well.

Do yourself a favour and never buy an multimeter without a fuse (e.g. ebay $10 ones), electric shock/electrocution isn't fun, speaking for a friend.

    • SAAS backwards is SAAS

      • What ever happened to him?

Was he banned for being too nice to everyone?

        • +1

No he wasn't banned. He got into engineering at University and decided to focus on studies.

  • All gone

But at the same time they just marked the order as "posted" today on ebay. Very strange.

    • I got the same for the underbody pressure washer attachment. Pretty dismal, but didn't really expect to get it. I did think they'd honour this one, as it seemed to be a clearance.

  • Back in stock

  • I bought this a few days before this deal was posted and I still got the email….
