  • Is this deal eBay plus specific?

    • seems that way

    • Yeah - eBay plus required when applying the coupon code.

  • Bought the same TV from the last deal, similar price. I'm liking the unit more than I expected, certainly good enough for the price.

Would this TV be any good for the PS5? "100Hz" or should I wait for a true 120Hz (or above?)

    • +1

You won't get more than 60Hz with this. It doesn't have HDMI 2.1 which is required for anything above 4K/60.

      • Would it be able to do 120Hz at 1080?

      • +2

Well, kinda. But also kinda not.

        Just to add some clarity here, HDMI 2.0b can support 4k @ 60z, 1440p @ 120hz and 1080p @ 240hz.

There is no way that next gen consoles will run anything decent at 4k/120fps. It's a silly goal to shoot for. But depending on the games you play, you may want one of those specs individually.

As an example, a game like Horizon Forbidden West might end up (if we're lucky) at 4k / 60fps… and it will be beautiful.

On the flip side, maybe you want to play some kind of multiplayer competitive game like Call of Fortfield or whatever… then 1440p @ 120fps will be much better than 4k @ 60fps.

In short, you DO NOT NEED HDMI 2.1 for next gen. The hardware simply can't handle 4k coupled with 120fps. Pick one.
So, it's wise to get a TV that supports HDMI 2.0b and both 4k and 120hz to handle the different style of games.

I made a new TV checklist for you:

        Need:
        [ ] 4K
        [ ] 120hz native panel
        [ ] HDMI 2.0b

        Nice to have:
        [ ] HDMI 2.1

        Useless:
        [ ] 8K

    • Nah, would grab a 120Hz
You'll also want a HDMI 2.1 compatible TV for next gen consoles

      • Thanks to everyone for the feedback, I'll wait for an ozbargain deal with HDMI 2.01 and 120Hz.

  • Is this price actually good?

    • wait till tomorrow.
Either priced get jacked or will come down to 1619

    • no. what you've paid is much better price :)

  • +1

As usual they lock out WA, TAS, NT, not even for additional delivery fees. That's not what eBay Plus supposed to allow
