    Worth noting that Forza Horizon 3 is becoming End Of Life on September 27, so this may be one of your last chances to own it digitally. Obviously you'll still be able to buy used physical copies for Xbox One, but I'm not sure if there will be a way to own it on PC after this.

    I guess this could also bring the price down over the next few weeks while people/companies try to get rid of their keys, but $11.89 is a fantastic price for this game!

        Yes.

        End of Life, in this context, simply means the game and its DLC cannot be purchased officially after that date. This does not affect multiplayer.

            @flooressence: Because of expiring car and soundtrack licenses, as the holders signed these to last for four years.

      Once it's retired it'll open the doors for abandonware though, already developer builds are traded online a lot for this game. This particular game plays offline just fine. It's online only games that will be lost to history after they are abandoned.

      3 is set in Australia, due to this I personally had a lot more fun with it. Being able to drive a HSV Maloo through Surfers was a blast!

      It won't remain indefinitely. Every Forza Horizon game gets removed from online four years after release.

        They will replace it with Horizon 5 and 6 by then, so why would you even want to play 4 anymore.

      I was in the other boat trying to work out if it was getting 4 as I own 3. A fair few people seem to think 3 has the better map, namely because it's more diverse. Almost unanimous was the belief 3 also had the better DLC in Blizzard Mountain and Hot Wheels, should you pick up the DLC pack also.

      4 Then had a number of quality of life improvements, big ones being ghosting in drift zones etc, along with better performance. It's not a big jump over 3 but most people think its a step forward.

      If you aren't going to bother with DLC and aren't attached to the local setting, 4 might be the better buy. Just keep in mind in a month from now you won't be able to purchase 3 or its DLC any longer digitally, where if you were to get that one now you can then grab 4 down the road if you enjoy the third one. If you have time to play both, jump on 3 now. I don't think they released the DLC on a physical release, so getting access to that will be hard after September just as Horizon 2 Storm Island is nigh on impossible to track down today (needs a redemption code that are no longer particularly common).

      I ended up doing this option instead and got the Ultimate edition. Been meaning to pick it up for years and it's got a fairly decent sale on there. Better to be safe considering it's being taken down shortly.

      Ultimate price is good, just keep in mind it does not include the DLC, so grab that separately as well before the games delisted.

      Ultimate edition does NOT include the expansion DLC. It only includes some car DLC and some stupid extra XP stuff.
      Everyone be wary of this mistake! Waste of money unless you want tons of cars you'll probably never use.
      Best option is to buy the standard edition then buy the expansion pass that includes both blizzard Mountain and Hot Wheels.

          Personally, I like the VIP pack that doubles rewards which in turn helps if you want to buy more expensive cars. It’s not essential but.

          As far as I can tell the ultimate pack only has more cars. For me the $20 difference isn't work the extra cars so I'd rather get the DLC which has gameplay differences.
