      At 28 AWG you can make a cable of up to 5m in length with no issues, and at 24 AWG you can make up to 15m.

      Even 30 AWG this cable would be sufficient for 2.5 - 3m.

  I believe it refers to the thickness of the cable and quality of the cable. I think the scale goes down as well. 28AWG is lower quality compared to 24AWG. However at 2m, i don't think you need to worry to much about it because the cable length is short

    lol. i think the question was what is the AWG of these cables. not what is AWG. :p but in saying that i have had problems in the past with cheaper HDMI cables with the picture dropping out on just 1M cables from the ps3 to the TV
