How many days (weeks?) does this take to charge using the solar panel?

Great Question Mitch: Solar cells support the powerbank as emergency function only, as it takes longer to charge using solar cells we do not recommend to rely on Solar for daily use - obviously it is not practically possible to put the powerbank in sun light daily. It could charge the powerbank up to 20% when phone and powerbank both dies. I will personally test this out soon to get solid answer. Hope this helps.

    • Very nice to see an honest answer :)
Ive seen this charger around online, some youtube guy I came across made a video on it too
      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMbXoRONg6E
Keep in mind the one he is reviewing was being sold for $100US and had impossible claims, but when he tested it himself he got it to charge to around 20% at most, which is still "ok" I suppose, it's not a huge problem for the price, I mean 20% is still ~2000mAh or a little less, but since it's a powerbank the solar is a bonus/happy addition more than a thing you would be relying on for survival or anyhting.
Plus it looks like it actually works which is the main thing? Just not from 80-100% I suppose, but from 1-20% instead (probably could reach a higher amount though), it mostly depends on the maximum wattage of the panel and the circutry to the battery.

Also I dont own one and am not associated with anyone so that guy in the video may have got a dud unit anyway.

Wow, I am so happy to see your positive response here. This is outstanding. Lot of time people joke around with the comments here. I appreciate your comment.

        Regards,

Update: if you use solar cells to fully charge your powerbank it can take up to 40 hours in full sun. As per our previous comment, solar function is only used to charge partially the powerbank and then your phone to make emergency call. If you are in a situation where your phone and powerbank both died. If it is night time then you are in another level of situation. Hope that helps. Question credit goes to Mitch889. Great question my friend.

This does not apply to only our powerbank, it also applies to other powerbank that has solar cells to support charging. The main thing is that it has wireless charging capacity for newer version phones, it has emergency LED flashing light etc.

Great for campers really as a backup. :)
