You can see the full specs following the link. Was just browsing for cheap phones and came across this. Personally don't have any experience with this model or any of Umidigi phones. Great spces. Cheap. Phone has a nice slab design that reminds me of iPhone 4S. Ideal for someone who's not keen on the current trend of 6.5++ inch mega size phones. Warning: Don't hope for much firmware updates from Umidigi. They only provide updates for a couple of months.

  • I've never heard of this brand. Anyone else?

    • They've been around. Google says they're a smartphone manufacture that released their first phone in 2012.

      • Had one (A3 Pro) used to get mega hot while gaming, screen would drop resolution and now sits in a draw where the screen only works if the phone gets hot enough.

    • +1

I bought an Umidigi A5 Pro about 18 months ago via ozbargain. Had never heard of them but was willing to give it a shot for $120 AUD. It's still going strong no problems at all, although now it seems like the battery takes longer to charge to full than it used to.

I'm sure there are better phones out there but in terms of bang for buck I'd find it hard to beat. Would buy again.

  • Good price. Not sure about quality though.

  • I have a Umidigi F1 for 6mths. Fantastic phone. Not sure how it competes for bells and whistles but does everything I need it too and seems top quality. Solid construction.
Only thing I found when researching was they don't specify the type of glass used for the screen and it comes with a glass protector attached, so I'm assuming they save some cost on the screen used. Take care of it and even if you change it once a year it's still great value imo.
And yes, zero updates. I'm still on the May 2019 security update. None of my apps have cared about this yet.
Also gave the Umidigi watch GT for $65 which is well made.

  • It shows $165. 46?
And how can I get 10% off on app? Just installed the app, does it apply automatically? As above its showing $165.46?

    • Choose the black colour ..

    • yes. choose "Other Area" for region and "Black"

I think the regional settings would determine which charger gets sent to you.

      • Ok. Thanks.

Showing $152.99 delivered, (Inc GST and delivery)?

    • I tried it with the app. The one currently on a flash deal is only the eu version @ $135 + ship.. Change it to other area and the price changes to $165 + ship.

  • That's a good price. I gifted an A3pro about a year ago, was about $100 at the time thought I'd give it a go.

Apparently still going fine, although considerably slower on dated OS (probably can get your own ROM to flash).

Zero updates since initial one but apart from that for $100 pretty decent phone!

  • I have owned 2 different Umidigi phones and have been very happy with both. Dont expect the camera resolution to equal high range Samsung's mind you, but they are extremely well built and affordable.

Currently been using the A5 Pro for about 9 months and have had one security update in that time.

  • I own this model and am using it at present. Screen size is good. Can get laggy on multitasking and the speaker quality isn't great. Camera is average. Otherwise it's good.

That said, I don't trust it for 2FA or security apps

    • "2FA or security apps"

As in you wouldn't use your banking app on it?

      • I didn't install banking apps or my 2FA but this might be a psychological response to the build quality.

It's supposedly glass and metal but there's a big difference from the Huawei P30/iPhone and this. The crude construction doesn't inspire confidence that it won't fall apart.

  • Can't comment on this particular model but I currently have a umidigi and have had another.
Both have been great phones, some of the preinstalled apps aren't very useful and do not take full advantage of the phones capabilities.

Eg the camera app that comes with the phone is terrible but if you get a decent photo app you'll be able to actually get use out of the multiple cameras and high megapixels. I use proshot(seen it for a free on here a few times).

  • One negative I can think of is that Umidigi never, ever, forever update OS. So you will stuck with whatever Android version it shipped with.

    They do Security patch though.

  • For an extra $14 you can double the storage at 128 GB

But can anyone help Noobie here….but do you put insurance on these international postage? Or just put tracking and hope it arrives?

    • Paying with paypal is good for nondelivery. I've raised a dispute before and got my money back when the product didn't come.

      • paypal smacks you for 10% extortion? Or more nowadays?

  • How come i cannot use the $20 voucher as new user?

  • +1

$152.99 is the cheapest I can get delivered (black and "other region"). OP perhaps need to update the title.

    • Order Subtotal: AU$137.99
      Shipping Fee: AU$3.27
      Grand Total:AU$141.26

You need to uncheck "broken screen service" and "shipping insurance"

      • Chal.uo…. You have selected the EU version.

        • Correction…. Depends on what listing in BG you select. I just found one via the app that was for other area and it came up as $140 delivered.
