Nothing like a Fathers Day gift that tells your father to lose some weight.

    RRP: $1899 Now: $1299

How about putting your normal price of $1399, instead of the RRP and trying to mislead people…

    https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:vmu96v…

This is a $100 saving based on your previous price, not $600…

    • Because noone wants to buy in 1399 so dropped price again oooppppssss.

  • OP what’s the difference between Adventure 1 & Adventure 3?

  • Good treadmill. Ticks most boxes. 2.5chp motor, 140x51 running belt (most in this price range have 45cm wide belt, like the costco one that was on special a few days ago), 5 years warranty on major parts (motor, generator) 2 years on other bits.

    • Good treadmill.

      Any 'Good' reviews?

      • I have this model treadmill. While it is
not 5 star compared to commercial quality products and the computer is a bit janky, it's a really good home machine (even at the inflated RRP). I put maybe 40km a week on it and it's held up just fine after probably 6 months of use, and I'm a 100kg, 6'2 dude and I can run up to the max speed with no slipping or loss of power. The machine itself is very sturdy, it doesn't shake or rock even when I am going full belt. I paid something like $950 delivered and got cashrewards on top. Set up was very simple, took me about 1/2 hour alone but would have been quicker with help. Someone must have either received a real lemon or have very unrealistic expectations to be rating this 1 star hundreds of times.

Mine does build up static, so it does occasionally give you a static electricity zap you if you touch the metal parts of the treadmill during a run.

Even with that, I would 100% buy again, I don't think there is much out there that is comparable for the price.

        • Thanks for sharing your actual user experience. Do you have any issues with the display? I read that it’s basic. But I’m hoping to keep one in front of the TV so I don’t need a fancy one. Decent power, ease of use and durability is what I’d need. Are you happy with it?

          • @randomdude14: There are no issues with it, it's just very basic. It has speed, incline, distance and total time, which is all I want. Connecting to wifi was the biggest PITA, but I got there eventually. There is no requirement to do so to use it though. It has a ledge for a tablet and built in speakers (3.5mm jack) so after setting it up I barely look at the screen anyway.

A guy from a treadmill store tried to steer me clear of it because it had a 2.5CHP motor, but honestly, I've not noticed much of a difference running on this compared to a commercial gym treadmill besides a slightly smaller running surface.

Overall I am very happy with it, it doesn't 'feel' cheap despite being the most cost effective model I could find with this sized running surface when I was looking to buy. Models at rebel etc all felt cheap up until about 2k.

            I'm tall and heavy.

Sorry. I'm getting ready for my first fathers day joke

Maybe mum can get it for him?

    • What has anything to do with treadmill?

  • my research shows Horizon is a decent brand, run by Jhonson fitness here in AU. Best value for money in this class. Main disadvantage is basic display, while most others feature fancy LCD with WiFi connectivity etc. but if you’re aiming to use it with the tv or an ipad, will work just as well.

my research shows Horizon is a decent brand

says a randomdude on the internet…

    • You've more or less nailed the shortcomings in this treadmill. The display is wifi enabled, but the wifi isnt intuitive and really only works to upload your runs to a specific online app called viewfit. It also causes a few seconds of delay to log in to the machine every time you want to run, which is frustrating.

But having said that, the display itself, while basic, is at least easy to use and does the job of getting the treadmill going. It has a ledge for a tablet/phone so I barely look at the screen anyway.

      • Great to hear about the actually user experience. I’m drawn to this given their good warranty compared to other brands too.

How do you rate the sturdiness and power? Are you happy with it?
