Do Wii have a problem here?

    for the Wii console owners

Well actually you need a Wii U. These came with the premium Wii U packs so only really necessary if you bought the basic or second hand and they’re missing. If I find the charging one quite useful but the the other is pretty useless

Came here to say the same thing. I was tempted to buy one for $5 a month ago but decided I should check the box in case I already had one.

Sure enough there was, brand new and still in the original plastic bag.

  • $4.99 for delivery

  • Got one. Looking to eventually get a Wii U for emulation so this is a nice little snag. Cheers OP!

You should act now on that. They are very limited now.

Precovid second hand Wii Us went for around $100, now they’re close to $200. Not sure if we’ll see prices come down again or if it’s only going up from here

        • +3

I would hunt one down at eb if at all possible any more.

Prices will never go down. Nintendo console are always collected and the Wii U sold so poorly there is limited stock. If you want one, buy now. ;)

@PainToad: Already have one myself. Brand new for $180 when Kmart was clearing out their gaming section.
It looks like EB have cleared out all their stock online, you’ll be lucky to find any in store. I believe they’ve also stopped accepting Wii U games and consoles so highly unlikely any restocks.

I recommend getting the premium for more memory

        • +2

It doesn’t matter a great deal. The premiums 32GB doesn’t go far. You can run games off a USB 2.0 drive just fine and you’ll likely want to have an external drive regardless of which model you buy.

        • My white console has 1TB attached.

      • They pop up on marketplace pretty frequently. I purchased s fully boxed premium unit for 200 about 5 weeks ago. Seen some cracking deals if you are quick. Boxed units with games and controllers for 2-250. There are plenty out there still. Especially now as a lot of people seem to be clearing out their unwanted items to either make some money or clear out.

Apparently great for emulation especially for Nintendo systems.

      • I have a WiiU premium, cracked, and its the best! I love emulation and have various emulation consoles and this wins hands down!

    • What platforms can you emulate?

      • Not too shabby… Looks like it can play:

Perfect: Ported Switch Games and Wii U titles
Upscaled: Wii titles, GameCube, N64, DS
Fullspeed: GBA, GBC/GB, SNES, NES, Atari
        Some Issues: PS1, Sega

        Can't emulate: PS2, 3DS, Xbox, PS3, Switch, XB1, PS4 (duh)

I found this useful to prop up my switch lite to use separate joycons

    • +1

i thought i was the only one

    • Smart. Forgot that lite doesn't have a kick stand

Thanks OP, I restored a very worn out Wii U for myself recently and this will be a nice addition to it.

    • I know this Q is not about the console but just wondering do you manage to get your Wii games working on Wii U? I cannot seem to get any of my games (Wii ) working on Wii U console.

      • +2

The easiest way is to use Wii Injects, that way you don't need to mod the vWii.

        • +1

          Beat me to it, haha

Yep, as you said, the other way is to mod the vWii, that's how I originally did it before the injecting method came about.

        • Thanks!!! I’ll try figure it out .. although I’m using MAC and it says require window :(

        • Does this inject them onto the SD (with CBHC, for example) or onto USB?

      • +1

As in Wii discs or “backups”. If the former, they’re a something seriously wrong with your console. If the latter, you have two options: mod the Wii side(aka vWii) or else inject them into the Wii U side (requires a modded console)

  • Won't deliver to QLD

  • Got one of these from ages, still in original packaging

  • Aaand they are gone.

  • rip

  • From memory if you bought the "Premium" 32GB console, both these accessories were included in the box :-)

  • Not available for purchase in Victoria? Closest store is Tasmania.

  • Hmm i don't really want to buy a house and isolate for 2 weeks just to pick up a charging stand

"The status of an item in your cart has changed. An item in your cart is no longer available."

  • It says AC adapter is not included – what kind of power cable is it? Just the standard Wii U gamepad charger or something else?

    • Yes the regular gamepad charger.

  • I'd be wary of charging through the cradle. I don't understand how but it killed two of my Wii U chargers back to back. Wasn't keen on trying my luck on a third.

  • These have been $5 for a while (over a year ago when I looked), they are not easy to find as shelf stock though, they really do not have WiiU Stuff anymore.
Most shops do not have the games anymore, they (JB) dumped a lot of the games for $5-15 about a year or more ago.

I managed to buy a few WiiU Fit Pedometers for $5 too back then.

But I stopped collecting for it so stuff is harder to find in the shops.

In the end I think most JB shops just removed the WiiU stuff from the shelves and put it in the back (to be thrown out eventually possibly?).
You cannot find any WiiU stuff on the website (besides this cradle it seems). You can try asking.
