Edit: Looks like it's back up to $67 now.
wouldn't it be worth paying the $79 for the mx500 instead?
Only if the increase in speed matters (e.g.: intended use is as a boot drive).
Many people going for a cheapo SSD like this will just be adding a second drive for games or something, that they'd like to be faster than a hard drive, but don't care to spend $20 for a loading time decrease they won't ever notice.

Australian bricks and mortar PC retailer for decades.
Haven't ever bought anything online from them myself.
There has been a lot of chop and change with them. Wesfarmers offloaded them and they closed all the physical stores. Pretty sure they are only Harris Tech in name only these days.

Now they are operate online only - can't find one single store anywhere.
Yeah I've bought lots of stuff with them for work in the past - corporate accounts etc. I was surprised when I saw them on eBay a while back with decent prices!
yeah just looked it up typical ipo/shareholder company now. definitely going to be pumping out some bargains to gain market share.
