  • Thanks.

You don't need Prime because over $39 is free delivery anyway…

    • Thanks I updated the title. Will update description now.

    • True, but the free shipping for non-prime members is slower.

      • +3

Great first post OP :) On a side note…how can people honestly not have Prime by now. $60 for a year at $5 a month and free access to Prime Video. I know Prime Video isn't great but I still think free shipping and a few movies is worth a fiver!

        • +8

Prime Video is worth it for The Boys!

          • @[Deactivated]: Not too impressed with first two episodes of Season 2.. Although episode 3 finally had things moving along well.

        • +1

Don't forget Twitch Prime and the games that come with it.

        • +1

Prime Video has The Office. Ok, torrents exist but that's so much easier.

      • I think for pre-orders they still ship so you get it on launch day (at least pre-COVID)…..I could be wrong though!

  • +2

im waiting for that $63-64 sweet spot.

    • +9

Amazon gives preorder price guarantee. If it drops lower on amazon, they drop the price of your order as well. It's not a bad strategy to pre-order here, then just cancel closer to the date if you don't want it. They don't charge you until it ships.

      Sub 60

Was hoping it will be $60.06 like Mario for the first 30 mins or so.

    • same haha been sitting there refreshing my search for it waiting for it to pop up XD

      • Me too. But I doubt it will happen I think the Mario one was a mistake.

        • It was almost certainly a mistake, but it's not like we haven't seen those kind of prices from Amazon before. Pokémon Sword and Shield launched on Amazon for $62, Super Mario Maker 2 even less at $58.

          • @dano: Wasn't the $62 with the $5 preorder bonus?

            • @enwar: Nope, you got it for $57 with the $5 bonus. Absolute bargain.

  • Cheers grabbed it.. Not sure if it will get much play time with cyberpunk 2077

    • +2

Oh man, I forgot all about Cyberpunk. Now I'm wondering which one should I get…

        • LOL! I want to, but I don't think I have the time to play them both, especially from release day.

        • I was about to post the same response LOL !!

      • Given Cyberpunk is likely to drop in price sooner (as Nintendo games notoriously retain their value) if it's otherwise an equal race go for this one!

  • Any news about a collector's edition?

    • +1

Japan is getting one, not sure if we will though.

      • "Paraglider blanket"

        Hell yeah !!!

now all i need is access to a wind bomb and i can fly to any country i want.

    • If we do get a collector's edition, it will most likely be exclusive to EB Games at a premium price.

  • I know this is a prequel but is it going to be similar to BOTW eg sandbox/open world, or is it a completely different type of game set in the same universe?

    • +8

Completely different type of game, in the same universe. It's like dynasty warriors gameplay.

      • +1

I am hoping the story line and cut scenes give us a better insight to what happened (into details) 100 years ago in the story line.

And not sure if anyone noticed but young Impa was in the trailer !!

    • totally different, you choose a character and goes in a closed map to basically hack/slash enemies. Look for videos of the first one to have an idea

  • Mindless hack and slash with no story. Warriors games are terrible

    • -1

      Fun to play while drinking.

    • In defence of this one it's likely to have a story given is meant to be a prequel of sorts

      • but we know what happened already, everyone dies hauahuahuah

    • Yeah — as much as I loved BOTW, I'll wait for the reviews for this one.

    • I like them :)

    • +3

You played Hyrule Warriors? Does have a story. So you're wrong. Not mindless, if you do play it without a mind you will fail the mission. Also, see your doctor.

Has seamless split-screen co-op as well.

      • The story was pretty ham fisted, only played out between stages and had little impact on the game, and ultimately was just there as a way to shoehorn as many Zelda characters as possible.

Definetly the game has its audience, and I played right through it myself, but I wouldn’t say the first Hyrule Warriors is remembered for its story. Not that it mattered hugely, but the focus is 100% on battles and the story is largely unimportant.

Whether that changes for this release, we’ll see.

The gameplay I’d say isn’t mindless however and you do need to manage a number of things to be successful.

No matter how hard you fight, Ganon will wins eventually

    • +3

      Spoilers man!

  • Up to 10% Shopback? How much is eligible for this?

    • 0% for video games unfortunately.

      • shopback&cashreward not eligible for preorder more than 2 months

  • +1

Aw this looks good, but warriors games don't hold their second hand value. I'll wait to pick it up from someone else.

    • I think they do. Here's a used Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition going for $43 with 12 bids and 2 days remaining on eBay.

      • Can definitely get Hyrule Warriors cheaper than that. eBay is out of line with the rest of the market.

Fire Emblem Warriors and Hyrule Warriors Legends for Switch can both be found for $35ish on gumtree or Facebook marketplace.

        • +1

True but to be fair Definitive Edition was a port while this is a new game so this will hold it's value better.

          • @enwar: This one looks really good.

Hyrule Warriors legends looks quite rough by comparison.

      • I just bought a new copy from EB Games for $49.95. Stock remaining as of an hour ago too.

        • or you can get a used copy for $30.

    • really? I find that most games stay above $50 even now. BOTW selling for 60-65 some even $70. When amazon is selling them for $69. Ridiculous.

      • Breath of the Wild is a different thing, for sure. It still sells for $60 second hand - very easily too.

  • age of calamity is right

  • +1

I've played Hyrule Warriors and I did not enjoy it at all. Don't get too excited about this game, it's not anything like BOTW.

    • +1

I loved Hyrule Warriors on Wii U. Given the very close Nintendo connection with this one, I'm still going to be optimistic

      • Ozbargainers are weird. Neg for saying I did not enjoy HW. Wtf?

        • You must be new here? lol

        • The first one was good for 10 minutes. Then shelved.

Then again, BOTW was boring too. Excited for Bravely Default 2!!!

        • +1

You have to objectively look at your statement from a neutral viewpoint.

You told other people objectively not to be excited about a game because of your subjective experience. It can be read as quite confronting for those who feel strongly about the series.

Due to the black and white nature of voting on this site, any comment can be emotionally loaded by the amount of reactions it gets.

          I didn't neg btw

    • Definetly people should do some research on this one or risk being disappointed. These games are an acquired taste for sure.

      • +2

I don't think it's an acquired taste it's more of a you either like it or you don't thing.

        • Yeah I worded that poorly. You’re right and that’s what I meant to say.

  • I love how all these people are giving negative opinions about the game but it hasn't even been released yet out for review

    • No ones saying they’ve played the game, they’re saying people should check out Hyrule Warriors (which has been our for years) because it’s absolutely nothing like any other Zelda title and being a fan of the IP isn’t a guarantee you’ll get a lot of enjoyment from these releases. There’s people asking if this is going to be like BotW, so clearly people out there don’t know they should be expecting something hugely different. It’s not like this is the first game in this series (never mind the other ‘warriors’ games like this) and people don’t have some idea what to expect. In the unveiling the games producer said it’s sticking to the gameplay of previous titles.

I’m a huge Zelda fan and as with my other posts, having played through Hyrule Warriors I would never suggest a Zelda fan go blindly into these games as they’re a completely different beast and quite different to most other things out there. Not saying people won’t like it, but there’s a chance it’s not what they’re after, especially if they are looking for a BotW prequel.
