Aldi has two Lemax Christmas Village scenes and an electric train set available for $49.99 each.
Lemax miniatures like this are very popular among collectors and are often difficult to come by in Australia, especially for this price. The train (Starlight Express), for example, often retails for over $100.
Aldi has limited stock so get in quick if you're keen on something like this for Christmas!

    Items were on sale last Wednesday (2nd Nov). Unlikely to be any left.

      I picked up all three yesterday (5/11) from Southland, VIC. There seemed to be around 10 of each of the Village scenes left, I think we may have got the last train from that store though. Call up your local Aldi and check with them, they should be happy to put stuff aside for you if you pick it up on the same day.

        You're right about the prices. Whereas they're around the $50 mark across most stores in the US, the AUS retailers here charge more than twice that amount, and some of them even claimed that to be 'special discount'. What do they take us for? a ride?
        BTW where did the last train from Southland go to? :-)

          Try going to Google maps and typing in 'Aldi', followed by the name of suburb you're after. Voila, instant contact details!
