I have the sense version of these, with Bluetooth only but it's noisy as hell, like chopper over your head. But got it for $100 so won't complaining too much, still prefer the old button lockwood one at aldi for half the price. Next timeiI'll go to Samsung or someone else not these dumb American manufacturers.

I am just wondering when the smart locks with google compatibility will become more popular. Yale is far away from it in Australia

    • I gave up and bought the Samsung one and for the Samsung smart hub

    • Why would you prefer to have Google compatibility? So a stranger can come to your door and say 'okay Google open the door'?

      • I don't think it works like that lol 🤣

        • I actually wonder, google disabled voice unlock on android phones because they claim security issues with recordings
yet with the home mini anyone can use my recording to turn on my lights, and it's not a security issue
so which is it google? security issues only when it's not a device I bought from you?

  • Check with your insurance as this doesn't seem to be a deadlock. If you've told them you have deadlocks and fit this a claim might be refused. Or you might get reduced premiums having deadlocks.

A deadlock (for example Lockwood 001) can't be opened from the inside (only when it's locked). This stops people breaking in elsewhere (say by window), then opening the door from inside which makes getting stuff out easier. If you don't lock it it can be opened from inside (typically when you're home).

  • I have one of these and I'm very happy with it. You don't need to enter PIN every time as it will unlock when it detects your phone approach (Bluetooth). And defiantly doesn't sound like a helicopter.

  • What does Zigbee certified home mean? I have a tuya based zigbee 3 hub coming one day.
