can start with your potential kids

      • +2

they are already walking & talking. But yeah, I have fond memories of messing with microscopes when I was a kid. :)

  • Just wondering if it’s currently on sale or this is standard price?

      You’re not Jv!!

  • Can I find coupon codes with this?

  • Looks identical to the one that was on amazon last week for the same price

  • magnification?

    • +4

      Yes.

    • it's in the description "1 x microscope with LED light" /s

      • Does 1X mean no magnification?

        • Well yes it does, but it was a joke

  • Happened to buy one for $12.45 at post office yesterday, it says clearance.

  • Does not list the magnification. Could be good or bad.

  • Better go for the digital one on Amazon?

Jiusion 40 to 1000x Magnification Endoscope, 8 LED USB 2.0 Digital Microscope, Mini Camera with OTG Adapter and Metal Stand, Compatible with Mac Windows 7 8 10 Android Linux

    • They're fundamentally different types of 'scopes.

The one in the OP is designed to pass light through a slide to the eye/camera-piece, similar to professional microbiology/pathology 'scopes.

The one you linked shines light from the same side as the viewer and is used for non-transparent and more "3D" objects.

      • I see - thanks for the explanation.

I have similar/same digital microscope. Note that the delay on the camera is atrocious. Almost a full second. i.e. if you move the sample. It will take about a second before that move is visible on the screen. This might be ok for some people. But it's not great.

      • Thanks for the hint. Good note.

But you'll wait for eternity for it to arrive.

    Looks like magnification is 1200x, 400x, 100x

Can I see flapping bacteria in yoghurt so I can show it to me my wife and then she never wants yogurt again?
