OP is allowed to post this 1 item in a seperate deal, the original post is the event post and mods give permission to post a deal from the event on another post. OP did also give credit to the main event deal

      • The rules also allow the posting of new deals when the item is not listed in the title of the previous deal.

      • Fair enough, Thanks for clarifying.

  • I assume this is a "dumb" robot?

    • +2

      AF

    • Yes

    • So dumb, my skirting boards are all kinds of effed up from it…..floor is surprisingly clean though in some places

      • Really? Just lots of scuff marks?

        • yeah it started off fine and would avoid them, but now it just smashes into doors and boards.

If I wasn't too lazy and gave them a wipe with some sugar soap or something it would probably rub off.

          • @Fergy1987: But having a robot vacum is for the lazy. Thanks, I'm not gonna buy it now.

            • +4

@sween64: It's not for the lazy, it's for convenience, for busy people, for parents with little kids, for those that are too busy, for those that are too sick, those with mobility issues

Are you lazy when you drive your car instead of walking or cycling?

Are you lazy when you use a dishwasher?

Are you lazy when you use a washing/dryer machine?

Are you lazy when you use a home delivery service?

I'd rather spend quality time with my family instead of cleaning as frequently knowing that my roborock can do a good job cleaning 300sqm at the push of a button

It's about convenice and time management!

    • DEE for dumb

    Link not work for me?

  • +1

Can't imagine this would be any good when my OZMO 900 was terrible.

  • I am using this at the moment. It does pretty good job, but it does it in a random pattern which is the biggest issue.
However it has spot cleaning option and edge cleaning option.

  • +2

Good review on the internet and Amazon, i pulled the trigger …. finally a robot vac with a good review for under $200.00

    • Save your box for the inevitable return

      • will see mate or other wise the opposite :)

  • +2

    It's an okay vacuum.
Random pattern is a bit annoying but overall it does do a good job.

Easy to clean and maintain and the 'smart' features work how it's meant to.

Recently mine has been getting stuck in the same places over and over, didn't do that originally… Dunno what's the problem

    • Thanks for sharing. So random pattern just means it will take longer to vac?

      • +3

Yep it's not super efficient but it doesn't need to be for $150. The trick with these dumb vacs is don't watch them as you will be like "where the frig is it going". If you set it off, walk away and come back after an hour it will have cleaned as well as a $1000 machine.

        • Unless it's been stuck on the same spot for a hour 😂

        • So it would have covered the whole house? How would it know?

          • +1

@ozbmm: "It" wouldn't. It basically runs around in a certain pattern until the battery get's low at which point it returns to its base to charge. You'd be surprised how far it goes, usually 2-3 hours on a charge which is way longer than anyone would normally spend vacuuming. If we want to do a proper clean we zone it ourselves by putting barriers up to keep it in an area. This is usually the front, middle and rear of the house. Otherwise if it's just a general clean we just let it go anywhere it wants. You'll always need to get to areas it misses (tight corners, under tables where chair legs are etc), but on the whole it does a great job.

Put it this way, the bin on it is ALWAYS full after each run so it's getting something for sure. It's surprising how much dust there is you can't see.

I also love the fact it goes under the couches which is always a pain to get under with my normal vac.

            • +1

@iShibby: Thanks for sharing. I guess I will have to zone my house by closing all the bedroom doors so that it will more "efficient" for each section of the house (e.g. lounge/dining, then each bedroom, etc.). Hmm…

              How's the edge mode?

              • +1

@ozbmm: Yeah that's what we end up doing. Closing off doors to create our own 'Zones'. Then when we want to clean a kids bedroom we just chuck it in there and close the door behind it and let it do it's thing (after picking up 3546 toys off the floor lol). We let it run for maybe 30-40mins then switch to edge mode to finish.

Edge mode is great. It increases the suction power and literally navigates around the edge of a room. It's great for hardwood floors as most dust and hair gets pushed to the edges. It can get stuck if you have a lot of obstacles around the edge but that's only happened a couple of times in the 6 months we've had it.

    • Mine gets stuck in places where the sun comes through the door and shines on the ground. So if its sun related you have to block it out somehow.

    • Also, how does it know it has covered the whole house including all the rooms without mapping?

  • Has very good reviews in Amazon so just got one:

Looks like this was same price 5months ago as well.

Didn't get much love here last time

  • +5

Got this in the last deal, for $149 I'm not sure what you're expecting it's pretty awesome. We got a 1 year old, doing what he does best, making mess. It may be a "dumb" robot but just leave it on when you're out and it just goes and goes. It saves me manually hovering every day so it's a win for me. Have no comparison as first Robot Vacuum but I've seen ones for 10 times this price, I cant imagine they'd do 10 times better.

    • +1

Yep +1. I also got it in the last deal. Yes it's dumb and has no room mapping but just let it go for a few hours and it will do it's job. I usually end up "zoning" myself and putting barriers up to keep it in certain parts of the house while it cleans. The edge feature is great and really gets it all.

Of course I would love room mapping but not for 3x more.

      Would highly recommend.

I have a ‘dumb’ vacuum which vacuums up the indoor tiled area where my dogs sleep. Use it daily. Absolutely superb to have one in the back of my house. Turn it on. Walk away. Spotless floors in an hour. With multiple passes along the same length of floor to make sure it’s proper clean

  • Does any one know if this supports google assistant instead of just alexa?

    • +3

Apparently you can. I've just bought one so if you wanna wait till I get my unit, i can confirm. :P

    • It does work with google home

    • My deebot came yesterday and hooked it all up. I can confirm it does work with Google home. So easy! Love it.

Just a point I faced when I set it up. It has to use a 2.4gHz wifi as it can't use 5ghz. Should be no issue with most people but just thought I'd put it out there for future purchase decisions

So far, very happy with it.

      • Thanks for sharing. How do you find it working with multiple living areas and bedrooms since it does have the mapping function?

        • This model does not have mapping function.
As a result it handles multiple rooms poorly and misses several areas because it doesn't know which spots it has visited before.
The success rate of returning back to base station to recharge is 1 out of 4.

I've been running this robot for over 2 weeks in 4 bedrooms home upstairs only.
Not recommended, but ok for the price.

It may suit smaller apartments with less rooms maybe.
My Xiaomi 1C w/mapping is much better, but also costs twice as much.

          • @zobragin: Thanks for sharing. Sorry I did mean this one doesn’t have the mapping function.

          • @zobragin: The Xiaomi 1C is currently $279 at Dicksmith. Thinking of returning this Deebot for free with eBay plus…

I own an Ecovacs and tempted to get this one too. Good deal. A lot of haters of this brand but surely nothing else better in this price range?

    • kmart robovac no user review , not sure how good/bad it is

  • -2

Beware of horrible delays in the inevitable returns and refunds! Terrible experience with two ecovacs, at this price it’s cheap but I wouldn’t touch it with a flagpole

    • Even with PayPal and eBay Plus?

    • I sent a message to the seller with no response!!! It could be a red sign of dodgy seller

      • Maybe give them time to respond

  • This code doesn't work

  • Does anyone know how to get this deal on ebay coz this code doesn't work

  • Expired I think
