  • Damn I got the X20 2 pack the other day for $240. This seems a better deal

    • This is a good deal, but it's no better or worse than your deal.

You could buy 2 of the X20 2 Packs at the price you got them and cover your home with 4 nodes for virtually the same price as a 3 pack of the X60. You'd get faster Wifi 6 speeds on the X60 and better coverage on the X20.

  • in the market for a midrange mesh with 3 devices.
It doesn't have to be top end or wifi 6, is this a good deal or is it a premium for being newest hottest technology?

    • I was thinking the same, but given the PS5 will be WiFi 6, I think I'll need to fork out the extra $

One issue with this set is no dedicated backhaul / triband, which the M9s do have. Thoughts?

    • +1

No dedicated back haul is a no-deal for me. But with regards to triband, do you really need to split out your traffic over two 5Ghz networks? I'm pretty sure Asus allow you to funnel bandwidth down the pipe for specific traffic-heavy devices.

    • No way would I choose the M9 over this. The Deco X60 is leaps and bounds more future proof with Wifi 6 having better coverage and latency.

Not to mention even with the backhaul the Deco M9 is limited to AC2200, this is AC3000.

      • But wifi 6E is coming out soon, so this is going to be obsolete too.
        You don't rate the backhaul?

        • Partly why I got the x20s for half the price.
Can always add newer Deco's later on.
          WiFi 7!

        • I do rate dedicated backhaul if you don't have ethernet available, particularly if you have more than 2-3 units or are on a gigabit internet connection. For most people in Australia however who don't have gigabit internet, I think the benefits of Wifi 6 having a better reach and better latency with wifi 6 clients is more important.

Not to mention the Deco M9 Plus is rated at AC2200 including the backhaul. The Deco X60 is AC3000 which means even though it doesn't have dedicated backhaul it still has a lot more bandwith to play with.
