What's everyone else's opinion on this brand vs other super premiums such as Royal Canin or A La Carte?

What's everyone else's opinion on this brand vs other super premiums such as Royal Canin or A La Carte?

don't know much about a la carte
Royal Canin- premium in price, ingredients not so premium; effectively you pay top dollar for relatively cheap ingredients

eg top 5 ingredients of RC Labrador
dehydrated poultry protein, rice, wheat, corn, corn gluten
compared to meat rice, wheat and corn are relatively cheap and therefore RC is way overpriced for what it serves

and don't believe that it is adapted to a particular breed, ingredients across breeds are similar
      eg RC poodle
corn, dehydrated poultry protein, vegetable protein isolate*, animal fats, rice, corn flour, corn gluten (here there is more corn than chicken)

      • I use this for my puppy (he's around 30kg at 7 months) I mix with minced chicken frames and he doesn't leave much behind and seems very healthy and happy so far (unless I'm stopping him from chewing my belongings). It is one of the more expensive brands I believe? But my son uses it for h8s dog with just a spoonful of wet food and she has the most shiny beautiful coat I've ever seen

Since they were bought out a cpl yrs ago they changed the ingredients without notifying anyone and has definitely gone down hill, i used it before the change without issues and loved it, then suddenly had dogs with upset stomachs all due to the change. Wouldnt bother anymore as its overpriced for what it is.

    • I have heard they started off decent then went downhill after they got bought out by a larger pet food company. I also read Australian pet food is generally quite low quality due to not being regulated. I know there are people trying to get the government to bring in some regulations. Its the first time i have heard where something is better regulated in the US than AU. So i generally stick to the good US brands.
