Given how absolutely insane the pricing for next-gen is, if you're looking for some games to play at launch I thought it'd be worth highlighting that you can get select next-gen versions of current-gen games for free, as is the case with all upcoming Ubisoft titles. All PS5 equivelent versions of these games are all $79 but if you buy the PS4 version you save $10 and have a copy for both systems. There are more cases, and when the release date/pricing comes out for Miles Morales and Sackboy i'll update the post but the same logic applies.

Watch Dogs Legion - $69
Assassin's Creed: Valhalla - $69
Far Cry 6 - $69 (Won't be available at launch but it's worth highlighting)

There are plenty of titles already out that will also be providing a free next gen upgrade next year, and some more titles yet to be released that will be providing this as well so keep an eye out to save yourself spending $10 you don't need to!

  Also FYI, if you are thinking of picking up the new spider man game for ps5, the current amazon pricing of $79 will likely be lowered considering that it's not a full priced game.

    if you buy this, you can play on PS5 and new xbox and also might be playable on pc as well.

    It means if you buy it on PS4, you'll get the PS5 copy with all of the upgrades for free. And yes, these listed games will have a PS5 version. Vice versa for Xbox, however, it needs to all stay within the same 'family'. That means, if you buy a PS4 copy, you don't get the next-gen Xbox version.

    Basically, you buy the physical PS5 box for $79 and only get that. Or, get the PS4 copy for $69 and get PS4+PS5.
