NT had a similar program with no minimum spend, they issued 25000 vouchers and they were all gone in a few hours.

    • Tassie’s were gone in minutes

  • +1

Tassie has a much better offer.

    • +3

For customers, Tassie got a better offer since we don't need to spend our own money.
For the whole economics, WA is doing the right thing to force people to spend their own money somehow…

      • Don't we have to spend for eating out?

  • Winery tours
    Fishing charters
    Aboriginal cultural tours
    Diving experiences
    Food tours

  • just waiting for SA….

You can get these types of vouchers on wechat aimed at Chinese tourists, like pay $20 get a food platter and a few bottles of wine.

not bad. might just get WeChat then, at the expense of the CCP spying on me.

Great initiative but the handful of operators I've spoken too said its as busy as ever. The Sandgropers are locked in and still spending, just entirely locally!

      Clive, is that you?

    • +2

Exactly, I'm in Melbourne and it's my god given right to breathe COVID on whoever I please. All these premiers keeping Victorians out are destroying their economy, don't they know who we are? It's not like opening back up and having freedom to move around your state without being infected is worth it.

Never holidaying in WA again. Will wait until the border opens to spend my money. Not supporting Mcgowan and his dumb a$$ campaign.

Now, seeing we're on OzBargain, what are the best value things to use the voucher for?

    • +1

I’m struggling to figure out what to use in perth or surrounds with my voucher, many items still can’t justify my $100+ spend after the voucher discount.

Might end up failing to use it (and be reissued for someone on the wait list)

Did have a browse of the tourism centre in the city a few days ago but the staff were non stop on the phones and not very helpful.

  • Submitted my application at 10:00. Haven't received anything. Anyone else in the same position?
