The upright vacuum the $399 vacuum the light ball multi floor listed above does an excellent Job on carpet. They work well to pick up pet hair from shedding dogs like long haired German shepherds or golden retrievers.
So handle human hair without any trouble.

Although the brush roll does have to be cleaned out every month or so. By cutting hair away that gets wrapped around brush roll with pair scissors. Lots videos on YouTube on how to do it.
