Hey mate,Any deal on the recharges?

    • Deal is for starter kit only at the moment.

  • I guess I can't use this to recharge can I?

    • +2

      No recharge, starter kit only

    • +1

      Port out and back in.

  • +2

The power of TA reputation lol, this is cheaper than the Cellmate deal and not getting much traction

Also this one is eligible for OW price match, comes to $230.85 which is cheapest to date

    https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/boost-300-…

    • Bit sad, isnt it?

This is a great deal but not many upvotes

      • I find it fascinating

    • Cheapest to date price was $228 when price matched at Officeworks from previous deals.

    • I just called officeworks and tried to pricematch this, OW told me they won't price match anything with a promo/coupon code as it's their 'special sale' or something??

I could swear I've price matched items with promo codes on OW before - was this person on the phone confused, or am I?

  • What’s the cost to add data if you run out?

    • +1

      Acc to the fine print,
      $5/Gb which is a add-on data

      • Damn what a rip, but good deal overall

        • Or just port out and back in with another 240Gb deal….

          • @dheywood: Depends how quick you go through it if you’re chewing through it in 6 months not worth it, overall 240gb is fine for most but it’s smart how they don’t split the gb over 12m would get a few people

            • +1

@RogueWolf: Easy enough to set a data cap on most phone these days. 👍

  • Awesome thanks, son dragged his feet on other deal and it expired , glad this came

  • Have they stopped selling $150 plan? Haven't seen its deal for a long time.

    • Yeah, looking at previous threads the $150 plan has been grandfathered.

      • Can we simply recharge for $150 plan if we are already on that plan though?

        • +1

$150 plan is available for recharge

          • +1

@ti6331: Thanks.. It looks like they have stopped discounting its recharge voucher. I remember Coles used to sell it for $135 or so sometimes.

        • That's what I did in late July.

          • +1

@Cleremy: I recharged $150 in first week of August. I think $150 plan is no more available even for recharges.

            • @crazyboy: Thanks. Sad if this is true. Can someone confirm?

              • +1

@virhlpool: It's still there for me when I've checked, previous 150 plan expires in a couple days
Haven't actually gone through the recharge process yet though

  • Any dea lfor a VF-1J?

  • LOOKS GOOD, THANKS FOR SHARING.

  • +1

Looks like it's not valid anymore? says out of stock at payment?

    • OOS

    • We have updated the stock now, its available again now. Selling out fast so get your's while it's still available.

  • Is it possible to use this if you are already on boost 240gb?

    • Need to port out first.

    • port out to another provider and then port back in.

  • +2

    Grabbed one, thanks OP.

Hey what's the best provider to port to, without having to pay for a recharge during the process ?

I ported out using a Lebara sim last year, and they forced you to purchased a recharge (minimum $14.95 at the time)

Also weary of Optus as I had a terrible time with being added to their database of nightmare marketing, which they are well known for.

    • +1

      Kogan? $5 30 days SIM.

  • Missed out 😔

  • Is it compatible when porting out from Telstra?

Was reading the fine print and it said I need a blank sim, but how does that work with this recharge?

  • hey roobotech,

will you have more anytime soon

    • +2

Hey there, all sold out now, should be getting some more in soon. Will post another deal here so keep an eye out for that 😊

      • hey,
will you be getting more stocks in the next 7 days

  • I don’t understand these deals and why is it so popular that ran out twice?? Mansplain it please.

    • Because it's a $300 plan normally if you were to go to Boost website and purchase it. Hope the deal will make more sense to you now.

      • Not really i know its a deal, how does these plan work in usage

Do you have to use 240GB for whole year depends on usage and you bank it. Coz I think some monthly plan works better than this as your usage might increase and you don’t have options to change since you locked in yourself for 1 year. No month to month and change of plan options

        Is that right?

        • +1

I get what you're saying. To put it simply, this is a great deal for those who know their usage across the year is going to be 240GB or less and also those who need free international calls. For these requirements, this is possibly the lowest price in the market and a hassle-free 1 year plan. If your requirements are different, then obviously this won't suit you.

  • Solid deal, Boost is good and all but be careful when porting during this time. The porting time could be significantly longer and mistakes could be made.

In my case they accidentally deleted my phone number when porting , and it turned into a 2 day ordeal on the live chat with the agents 😬 Not worth it.

    • +1

Isn't porting process automated? How does mistake like that occur?

      • Supposedly the automated process is a bit different this time around
