      Keef,

How is this ad deceptive? It is no different to any of the others specials I have posted over the last 6 months…

If you need the specs on the TV you can find them by clicking here:

deceptive is a bit strong. not like it's a home brand unknown product! still, actual specs on the TCC website would be nice.

        Good point dwain,

Listing has been updated with basic specs and link through to Samsung website!

        :)

Good price for this TV but the main negative is its pretty hot compared to the Panasonic.

  • +1

    how much is extended warranty?

    • +2

Please ensure that you read and understand all the conditions of the extended warranty before you buy it. I put it you that the home owners caught in the floods and who did not receive a payout from an insurance company, believed beforehand that they were covered. Remember that with all insurance, the devil is in the detail. Buyer beware.

      • +1

Be wary of extended warranty in general, but some providers are actually pretty good. I've had a printer replaced with no questions asked by Officeworks' warranty provider, and an excellent repair experience for a TV with Myer's warranty provider.

This listing is typical of what happens to sell an entry point product: not much information. This way the punter makes a series of assumptions about it's quality and makes an uninformed decision. It is the responsibilty of the seller to accurately describe what they are selling. By omitting key information the seller is attemping to deceive the seller. It was only after being taking to task on these important issues that matt walker disclosed the specifications. These are examples of lies by omission.

While information should be volunteered I still don't think this is deceptive by any means. The responsibility of the buyer is to ask the right questions and make a decision based on facts presented to them.

To me, deception is giving false or misleading information about the product or price. A moot point anyway considering the poster has provided the model number and link to Samsung request promptly.

Both these comments are very valid and make some really good points and suggestions, why are people negative voting both comments? doesnt make sense , seems we have serial negative voters again!

      • .

  • Last weeks deal has expired? Damn I just got paid today =(

  • Great price

  • +1

I think it is a fair deal for a given spec. Don't ask for more when you pay less.

  • +2

Not a bad price but being its not full HD probably a bit big for the average sitting position.

  • +2

got me excited thinking it was the 550..

would never pay $600 for a non full-hd

  • +2

51" and not Full HD is not a good combo.

    • Depends on how far away you sit from your TV. I would say 51" and low quality content is the combo to be wary of.

      • -1

Most Samsung models are pretty poor quality and this is the bottom of the line of pretty average quality TV's. The further away you are the better to avoid seeing the ghosting and other horrible quality issues.

        • Well the majority disagree, since most think Samsung make the best TVs

  • +1

exactly the 550 was $750 at good guys with the voucher they had and you get full hd and 3d, much better value.
