Been looking for one of these, most of the ergonomic ones aren't in stock or are like $200 (Topo), I have no idea how this mat compares but going to give it a go!
They provided me with a 30% off code so thought I would share it here, brings the cost down to $55.30 + P&P which is $11.82 to Sydney.

To apply the code, click the cart in the top right, don't proceed to checkout otherwise there is no option to apply it.

It appears thick everywhere besides where the feet rest. At least if there is a flood, your feet will remain dry.

    Looks like a trip hazard.

    • exactly what I was thinking!

  • I've kicked / tripped over these so many times while working in retail.

Seems to be a similar product, if not the same.

      Yep looks exactly the same.
I have the office works one. Decent enough, does the job.
Middle of the matt is about 15-20mm thick. The sides and ball are good for when you're moving around and want to scratch that itch on your foot.

    • Yep, I saw this too, but no stock for delivery!

  • Any scientific evidence that this thing actually reduces fatigue? Otherwise, you stand (pun intended) to lose 50 bucks.

I was a cynic of standing desks until I got a fancy standing desk in the new office. Then I was a cynic of standing mats. Then came along a Varidesk mat 🤯

Well, I just got a standing desk and after 20 mins on my tiled floor my feet hurt, hoping this helps with that.

    • Having worked in retail where I stand all day, I definitely prefer something less hard than a tiled floor.

So…. people invented the chair so they don't have to stand.
People then invented the standing desk because sitting on a chair all day long was killing them.
Now people need a special mat to stand on because standing all day is killing them.

I'm waiting for the hammock desk.

      • OMG I had no idea it existed.
Some look designed to give you that dentist feeling while at work.

I recently (2 months ago) converted to standing desk and it changed my life, honestly. Back then, when i was looking for this kind of mat, I actually ended up buying the kitchen mat from Bunnings and it is very good - https://www.bunnings.com.au/matpro-50-x-80cm-dark-grey-kitch…
In fact, i am standing on it while i type this comment!

    • What would you say was the main benefit you noticed when converting to a standing desk?

      • That he was sitting a lot less.

  • How do these work if you switch between standing and sitting ie is there room for a chair on castors to fit around it?
