Fujifilm X100V ($1,670.40) / X-T4 Body Only ($2,230.40) Delivered @ digiDIRECT eBay

Original Coupon Deal

DigiDIRECT have dropped the price slightly on the X100V (from $2,175 to $2,088). Combined with the 20% off eBay coupon, brings it down to $1,670.40 delivered, which I think is the lowest price to date for AU stock, and is about the same as current prices for grey stock.

Previous low was $1,740 when DigiDIRECT had 20% on their website. See previous X100V deals discussing the camera: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/product/fujifilm-x100v

Main link is to the Black X100V, showing more than 10 available at time of posting. Note some users have previously experienced delays in getting their purchases from DigiDIRECT, but I personally haven't had any issues.

Fujifilm X-T4 Body only is also cheapest AU stock at the moment @ $2,230.40

Only other consideration is that Fujifilm AU usually run cashback promotions from time to time. Looking at previous promos (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/deals/fujifilm.com.au), there should have been one around June, but there wasn't any. There may be one around October, but I'm purely speculating. Given travel is still quite limited (here in Melbourne at least), as tempting as the price is at the moment I might just keep waiting and watching, since my current camera is sufficient for trips to the park with the kids =)

Edit: Thought I'd expand my line of thinking a little further RE cashback consideration. If I was considering the X-T4, but would be happy with an X-T3 (still a very capable camera IMO), and the X-T3 was included in an upcoming cashback promo, then that might be better from a value proposition. But that's assuming 1. Fujifilm launch a cashback promo this year and 2. X-T3 is included…

The X-T4 with 16-80 kit is also around $3200ish. Very good price for that combo

    • Agree… the 16-80 is pretty impressive for a lens that tries to do everything. I would recommend that kit over both the 18-55 (which is also great, but no WR and less versatile range) and the 18-135 (meh) for anyone new to Fuji and wanting to go for the X-T line.

i think its highly unlikely that x-t4 will be included in the cashback if there is one later this year. the year the x-t3 was initially released, it wasn't included in the first round of cashbacks.

    • 100% agree - I don't think either X-T4 or X100V would be included in cashback if there was one this year.

I just edited the deal explaining my thinking on that - it was more if the X-T3 was included since it's the superseded model, and may be better value than the X-T4 at this price (assuming you don't really need the additional features).

      • What's your bet on whether the X-T200 will be discounted here? With kit lens it seems to be down to $499 (USD, plus taxes/post) in the US at the minute.

No idea to be honest! 2020 has been a strange year! It was only released in January, and haven't paid much attention to Fujifilm USA promos in the past, so not sure how closely they align with AU ones and if they can provide an indication of what's going to be included.

  • Great price for x100v, probably would snap it up if I haven't drop 1k to upgrade my sound recordings.

I picked up an X100V today from DigiDirect (an upgrade from my original X100 from 2011).

The eBay deal was unbeatable based on my research, but I decided to use the live webchat on their site to see if they could go close to that price in-store. The rep suggested I go to the Bondi Junction store and ask for a deal given they are clearing stock ahead of a four week shutdown for renovations. Walked an hour to get there….nice day for it ;-)

Best that they would do was $1,780 which was pretty compelling for the instant gratification factor. But I tried my luck and asked for another $50 off. There was a look of horror on the face of the salesman and his reaction was my cue to bail out. I just wasn't in the mood to deal with his smartarse-edness.

I had some time on my hands so I walked from Bondi Junction into the Sydney CBD.

    Ted's - Wouldn't budge on $2,199
    Georges - $1,999
JB HiFi - $2,399 (and 3 days for stock to arrive)

Finally, I went to DigiDirect in King Street. The salesman was awesome to deal with. No hard sell for accessories, a no-fuss price match with their eBay store price, and 8,350 QFF points under a current promotion they're running with Qantas.

In terms of stock this afternoon when I visited both stores, HEAPS of both black and silver in stock at Bondi Junction. 4pc of black and no silver left at King Street (I got the last one ;-)

  • Deal back on with Digidirect's 20% off sale:

Picked up a silver one from Sydney store. Accessories also on sale: battery charger, spare battery, filter adapter, etc.

    • Nice! I think yesterday I saw the price had dropped on their own website but didn't think they were going to update their eBay price.
