The thumbnail says "Access Denied". How appropriate for so many.

  • Go the Power! Go nwlikeshopping to Adelaide for the weekend of October 1. :-)

Unfortunately, I'm sure the Cats have enough fans outside of Victoria that there'll still be a lot of them at Adelaide Oval.

  • What is there to do in Adelaide? We had our Cairns flights cancelled (end-Oct) and just converted it into a regional trip (NSW).

    • What are you interested in?

We like hikes, visiting cultural attractions, fishing, eating food, food festivals, water sports and nature/animals. We went to Tasmania on a road trip in 2018 through the east coast, absolutely loved it.

Visit Kangaroo Island - lots of fishing, eating, nature/animals etc. Beautiful place and they need the tourists. https://www.australia.com/en/places/adelaide-and-surrounds/gā€¦

Definitely don't miss the Waterfall Gully hike, extremely invigorating but there is a rewarding view of the Adelaide skyline at the end. also Adelaide Central Market is worth a visit, plenty of food there. In terms of fishing, definitely head down to somewhere down south like Victor Harbour or as mentioned KI

Adelaide has all those things in abundance. Kangaroo Island is amazing but you don't even need to go that far.

Hikes for days - we are surrounded by National and State parks plus Parklands, Linear Park and Coastal trails. Check out Heysen Trail and Walking SA.

SA has a culture overload - galleries, museums, indigenous history, German history, Italian, Greek, Afghan, you name it. Great gardens, architecture, even ghost tours.

Festivals are on the down because of Covid.

Fishing is awesome. Any jetty, Port River, beach fishing.

Murray River for the water sports.

Cleland, the Zoo and Monarto are all open for animal encounters.

These are all just within day drives of the city. There's obviously a lot more the further out šŸ˜€

    • I always wanted to go just to have the freshest Coopers Ale - But it appears the tours are cancelled at the moment https://coopers.com.au/our-family-brewery/brewery-tours - I've got no idea about the city, though I remember Ben Folds moving to there and writing a song to the point. I still think it's too early for travel - anything could happen and being stranded with the prospect of a $3k quarantine doesn't sound like much fun..

  • Why we victorians feel, we dont belong here :(

    • Now show the Victorian passport to cross boarder. ;)
