hmm, I think i'll go for the gopro, it costs more but has better stabilised footage.

These are not so unique now since GoPro copied their design with a front picture display. Also the US government are considering labelling DJI as a national security threat. So these may soon be potentially illegal in Australia.

I returned my unopened jbhifi $299 and switched for the hero 9.
Had one before and sold it thinking I would get the hero 8, never ended up getting it so when jb sales for this came out at 299, bought it but had nowhere to go. Then the hero 9 came out and I think it's worth the difference. If you're getting a 7/8 this is worth it. But not comparable to the 9
How so, when the image quality is very similar between 8 and 9 from the reviews?
All about the stabilisation without needing the gimbal which will give much more usable footage.
Sensor size tech hasnt changed much so image quality is gonna be similar for most cams.

I upgraded from a GoPro Hero 5 to this inplace of the Hero 7. I liked the front screen for vlogging and I find it very easy to use. At this price it is a bargain.

bought for $299 from jb its a good cam.
Haven't seen any reviews but I was watching videos of Louis Rossman where he went around NYC checking out property prices, one episode he used the DJI osmos at night and the quality was pretty bad compared to when he filmed using gopro at night. Not sure which gopro he was using though.
