Hi All.

Was in Dick Smiths today and saw these in the window for $49. I originally paid $129 about 2 years ago and think they are a fairly decent printer. Sadly, they don't do automatic duplex (2-sided) but for the price, it's give a decent laser print for the home.

      Yeah, okay, a few stores on ShopBot have it for a similar price. See, the problem with that is most of those stores are mostly nowhere near the majority of the people on OZB. In fact, there is not a single store on that list that I recognise except for Warcom. If you want it for that price, you need to pickup or pay extra $$$ for delivery.

    good price, i bought a 2142 from OW beginning of the yr ~85, and basically last me a whole year. pretty happy abt it

      the 2142 are heaps better and better value and the you can buy capacity toner for them giving you 2500 pages per toner (with 5% spread)
      I think the 2130 here can handle the lower capacity toner giving you 1200 pages (with 5% spread). Keep it in mind that's all.

        Hope everyone can distinguish the new models from the old ones.

        The previous generation i.e. HL-2140, HL-2142 and HL-2150 came with a 1200p introductory toner and consequently used the 2130 (1500p) & 2150 (2500p) toners.

        The current generation HL-2130 and HL-2132 units now come with a 700p introductory toner and only use the new 2030 (1000p) toner.

        i would rather pay 5 dollars more and pick it up, rather than have to deal with the delivery service DSE uses, but that's been my bad experiences I guess.

    Funny how the HN Fuji laser got negs all over the place because OW had it cheaper, but this one hasn't? The 2132 is the same printer, and cheaper is cheaper.

    Just came back from officeworks Doncaster VIC and they had a whole square stack of these. I was shocked at how cheap decent laser printers have become. I was going to grab one, but I have a color laser allready. The black version, which does AUTO DUPLEX is for 99 dollars just so you guys know. =D
