DJI Care Refresh for Mavic Mini

Just got the DJI Mavic Mini and now looking for a cost-effective DJI care refresh for it.

All stores seems to sell it for $59; if someone can find a cheaper one, I really appreciate it.

Ensure you don’t miss buying window of that insurance.

    • yup, thanks, still charging the drone now; I have 2 days after activating the drone :)

I could only get 5% off after signing up to the DJI website and buying through them.

    • Thanks for the reminder of this!

i dont think care refresh are discounted. you have 48 hrs to do it hassle free. else you have to provide videos and photos.

    I say just do it.

Do note that care refresh only apply if you crash it. If it flies away, it doesnt apply.

    • I wonder if I fly the drone without the app (directly with the remote), will it prolong the activation date?

I'm planning to put the propeller guard and play it indoor with the kids first :)

You can't fly indoors without the app, because it will say no GPS and you have to disable it in the app before it will let you takeoff.

It's cheap piece of mind. I've had my Air for 2 years now and have never come across a discount for care refresh.

  • does nothing I had an issue with my spark and having the extra warranty made not difference what so ever

    • The care refresh still requires you to send back or to a repair center for review and repair or replace, are you saying they didn't offer any remedy for your issues?

DJI Care Refresh also covers your drone if you crash it as well as water damage.

      • Nothing at all dji has the worst customer services in the world by far I was emailing them for over a year and a half and got nowhere

        • You're supposed to submit repair claim through their website. I had my Mini repaired, and they responded within minutes through their live chat. Had the drone fixed and returned within 3 weeks

          • @Hellcrusher3304: I did

The drone got lost from a system error

@eckers19: if you can't send them the physical unit back then they 100% reject any claims because they can't inspect the damage or re-use parts from it. it's in the T&C of the warranty.

i had one drop from the sky and i sent the smashed drone back and got what looked like a brand new one.

  • Just pick it up as soon as possible. A tree ran into my drone last year in the Japanese Alps and I was able to do a swap for a brand new unit after some fees.

    • Wow, the tree must've been running pretty quick to run into your drone hehe j/k

I suspect you did the warranty claim in Aus? As far as I know DJI care refresh is country bound?

      • +1

Yeah did it in Aus, thankfully I managed to recover the drone with a few* well aimed snowballs otherwise it will be difficult to get the swap. Still worth it though especially if it's your new drone as there are many unreasonable trees, walls and poles around.

        *about 30.

  • i'm in the same boat but deliberately haven't even opened the box until i have that code. you can buy it later but it's a pain because you've gotta do a test flight to show them it works perfectly and has no pre-existing damage.

this warranty will cover some things and not others (ie. operator error by ignoring wind warnings and stuff), i'm not sure it covers bird strikes but that is what i want it for because that would be bad luck not covered by normal warranty.

i'm thinking to just wait for an ebay discount code (unique or storewide) that could be $10 off $50, or a discounted gift card for somewhere.

otherwise the 5% off at DJI is better than nothing.

  • I think I got mine at 20% off via a store wide digidirect sale. They sell the refresh and the discount did apply to the insurance. Don’t they have an ebay promo at the moment?
