Lemme guess, he doesn’t speak of God?

Fellow oz bargainers do yourself a favor by not buying Jay Shetty's book. He is a fake Monk. He plagiarised himself to fame and called himself a Monk. I am really shocked how this fake guy is still in business. Please watch the video

    • Interesting, plagerise or not I do find his facebook videos pretty inspiring.

      • Apart from checking out his sister I haven’t seen much of his videos

        • Apart from checking out his sister

          Didn't he marry his sister?

    Ugh hate this guy.
All these rubbish ad vids on Facebook

  • +1

To be fair, he's smarter at repurposing and no crediting the original source more than David Avocado Wolf. But the masses still follow Shetty because they don't have to research the bits themselves.

(and no, I'm not a fan of his)

Think like a monk, act like a clown

  • 1 because Amazon keep shoving all versions of this book in people’s face as soon as they open website

Pick any name and people will find a reason to bring them down especially in this social media age. I find some of his videos inspiring and use that to better myself. That said, dig a little deeper and do your own reading and research. A lot of what he does is take spiritual concepts from Hindu scriptures (Eckhart Tolle was another one who did this), quality translations of which already exist. Or better yet learn Sanskrit, which I'm in the process of doing, and read directly from the source

    • people will find a reason to bring them down especially in this social media age

seems fitting for a guy who got rich off social media.

A lot of what he does is steal other people's quotes

      fixed that for ya.

  • +10

Um, this guy has been proven to steal most of his content and quotes from other people and replace their name with his. Tons of examples around, don't support this guy.

  • Hmmm I had some audible credits to use before I cancelled and I grabbed this last week. I'm thinking now I should have looked into it a bit further.

  • +1

Looks like this guy is a plagiarist. Wouldn't want to waste my money on crap he has to sell.
