Get a good few bags of cement whilst at Bunnings. Each corner needs 2-3 bags.

buy playground set, kids happy for 10 minutes, get bored ask mummy and daddy to take to other playground, set becomes rusty, and left on council strip for someone to collect

Haha. Invite other kids over, kids want the social piece, less so of the equipment. Ours used regularly, other kids were keen when they visit.

One of those wooden house sold at Bunnings is also good. They love it.

Then top it up with a box of colour chalk.

      • yeah I know, just being cynical

      • which wooden housey thing did you get? I've been eyeing one of those .. then while i was there, the recent free Bunnings mag had a "DIY cubby building" section, now i'm thinking i might do it myself :)

        • Cant remember. and old one. unless you have the tools, DIY is expensive.

We got one of these during first lockdown, stained it first before putting it together. Excellent quality, very sturdy, good project.
We bought it direct from manufacturer though.

          • @nepalesesquirrel: looks good! is it just empty/blank inside?
how much did you pay direct thru Stilla?

          • @nepalesesquirrel: It is empty inside, can paint it or stain it if required. It is very solid and heavy so needs to be built in place, its for long term, not like a cheap throwaway kmart cubby. Will probably use as a garden shed when my kids tire of it. It was slightly cheaper from. STILLA I believe.

Seems to be lacking in both 'slide' and 'climb'.

Also this site is not named OzHighestPrice so that's a no from me.

Swing Slide Climb is the manufacturer's name.

    I've got this set.

You get what you pay. Super cheap. Needs to be anchored to the floor. Otherwise it'll rock off the ground.

The swings are super slippery and my kids bums slip off them. They are 3.

Very small set. When two kids on the swings at one time very high risk of hitting each other.

    I wouldn't recommend it.

    We paid the normal price.

I for one am disappointed that this is not 100% subsidised by the Australian government and mandated that each Aussie backyard has one of these.

    • Bugger this, all swinging should be done from a hills hoist.

  • can u buy all of these kinda stuff with tradies pass @ bunnings ? and roughly how much discount does a tradie pass get ?

    • no discount using powerpass
