  • Can these payments be a tax deduction?

    • +1

I was going to say.. An after tax contribution to your super.. You'd want to be able to claim these as a deduction… Otherwise, better off getting cash rewards and putting it into the super yourself..

Remember.. We're ozbargain here.. All about the best deals.. Not simplicity haha

    • In most cases payments are after tax contributions and are generally not tax deductable. However, you would need to speak to a fiancial advisor or accountant about your own circumstances especially if you own your own business as in these cases they might be.

  • This is a contribution so subject to the concessional / non-concessional contribution tax?

    • These are put in as non-concessional after tax contributions.

  • Even with 30 years of annualised returns, don't think my $3 - $5 cashback transactions are going to add up to anything meaningful…

    • Would recommend you try the calculator on the Boost Your Super website to get an idea if $3 - $5 cashback transactions will be meaningful in your own personal circumstances.

  • I guess this is the only way to force you to put money in Super apart from planning to :P

  • Good idea! Would be a better idea to let users choose whether to contribute before or after tax.
