  • Been eyes on the drone for a while, but this is no where near the last deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/562912
Only good for those need it urgent. No deal for me but thanks for shareing

  • Thanks most people will want the flymore combo. The drone only hardly seems worth it

$5 off with Ebay plus monthly coupon.

  • Where can you fly drones legally and without the need to get a permission (slip) from “authorities”?

    • +2

Still plenty of places.. Some have 30m and 120m restrictions but still good.

      https://www.casa.gov.au/knowyourdrone/drone-safety-apps

      • Just be aware that soon, CASA will require you register every drone in order to legally fly, and yes, will need you to pay $$ to them to do it. You should probably follow the info pages regarding public consultation if you want to tell them to jump off the Sydney Harbour Bridge regarding making you pay annual fees to fly your own drone just to take cool photos.

        • Yeah bummer, but all good if you got a Mavic Mini - no need to register :P

          • @PCAviator: What can stop them from dropping weight limit further down ?

            • @Foma2: Who knows, but then they would be regulating things like kite flying :/ so I doubt it. Under 250g probably has little impact on danger levels to other aircraft.

      Just send it

    • Heaps of places still to fly. I'm out flying and recording every weekend.

      • Filming desserts ?
E.g. in SA and QLD you are not allowed to fly your drone over national parks.
        Do you know why ?
        Not to disturb birds 8-)

I thought birds (and their nests and eggs) are disturbed by birds of prey and snakes rather then those little harmless buzzing thingies.
Oh, well, my government knows better.

        • Here in Vic we can't fly in any places that are managed by Parks Vic. But there's still heaps around that's not restricted. It's annoying but you get over it find somewhere else!

        • Citation needed for QLD national parks. As far as I know, you are allowed to fly a drone under 2kg in QLD national parks, for recreational purposes without needing a permit.

          • @doze: Sorry, QLD is fine - it is TAS which joined the wisest local governments club.
I am not surprised why Brisbane and Perth are growing and developing so fast and Adelaide (which at some point was a close rival of the former and was bigger and more developed than the latter) now is just a backwater town.

  • Bit of a dodgy seller bumping the price up from RRP of $1499 to $1666.99… note to self, don't buy anything from Sydney Mobiles…
