Robert Timm Instant Coffee 200g $4 @ Woolworths

100

Not the best but also not the worst.

From what I saw they have both the espresso and full-bodied variety for $4.

The container itself is worth $4 haha.

This was my go to for coffee but ever since they changed the label, the taste is bloody awful and weak. They say nothing changed except for the look, I say bullcrap. Wont even buy for $4

Coles brand is half price $3 for 200g if you want to save a buck.

FYI saw this the other day, apparently Woolies brand is pretty decent for the price.

Coles organic freeze dried won best coffee last year according to choice. And now Woolworths? I am thinking perhaps something is a bit biased?? On a lighter note, hows the descriptions of the coffee "expert"…..what the hell is rubbery tasting coffee??

You can find lots of "coffee experts" on every OB coffee post. For me, the best way to see which coffee is good for you is to go and buy it for yourself.
So far, Moccona Barista Reserve Rich Espresso is often on our shopping cart.

        • Yeah good point. Our household regular is Nescafe Blend 43 Smooth and Creamy (first discovered thanks to this deal in 2015) whihc we stock up when it's 1/2 price.

Looking for something a bit stronger though as I go through it too quick, will have to give that Moccona a try next time. I only get Moccona Espresso Free Dried occasionally for the mason jars.

          • @Pandaroo: I only get them when its half price, $9 for 200g. But yes, I’ve collected a few moccona mason jars myself. They’re great :)

        • I agree. Rich Expresso is impressive! Robert Timm is not bad for $4

      • Based on that review i gave it a shot and tried the Coles one. I hated it to be honest.

  • This deal has been listed in this post https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/569068

  • Coles used to sell the "rich & smooth" variant in the smaller bottles that i liked. of course they stopped selling it. i'm currently suffering through a 400g bottle of the espresso blend which, while better than nescafe, isn't much different to dirt.

have you tried coles freeze dried? the small jar that's $4, I find that similar to the "rich and smooth" but it's still a poor mans "rich and smooth"

      • +1

yep, i tried that one based on the ozbargainers' recommendations and like it, along with their freeze dried medium roast. both of those > RT espresso.
