I bought Nokia 5.3 from Amazon UK because of its amazing price. I placed the order on 5th Sept but being told yesterday that it might be lost in transit and I have been issued refund.
I am happy that I will get my money back in account in couple of days but disappointed as I was really looking forward to receiving this phone.
Has anyone else had this experience.

I ordered an item from Amazon from the US, about 4 weeks later I was refunded as it was apparently damaged in transit and returned to the seller in the US…. kinda sucked as I also got it for a good price as well. I msg Amazon about this and as an apology they credited me $10 to my Amazon account and processed the refund back to my Card which took about 3-4 days to clear… better than nothing I suppose.
I asked the rep if they don't refund and send another parcel but with express delivery and they said, they can't do it. I have to place another order and price went up yesterday.
Now I am looking at deal on TGG on eBay and Nokia 7.2 looks really good.
I asked the same thing but since it was Amazon US that was dealing with the order they were unable to send replacements and yes the price of the item I was buying went up as well.
Imagine they find the parcel and you get the phone, free phone for you!
What would be the right thing to do?
Keep it without paying or let them know that you received it and agree to pay for it
After they refund you, usually they wouldn't ask for money back once received, Happened to me once and on the phone they said if you eventually receive it you may keep it.
Once my parcel from (My protien) was lost in transit , they sent the replacement order . After 1 week of receiving the replacement order, got text from Aus post about the old parcel delivery coming to my address.
Have year worth of protien now😁😁

Same thing with my nokia 5.3… expected the 2nd october. Nothing yet.
Amazon said they won't do anything about it until thursday.

You saved yourself some money, now you can spend an extra $100 or so on the Poco X3 which is way better….And you might up with two phones

Same here, although only received a $10 gift card after asking for something
I didn't receive anything but they initiated refund yesterday so I am not out of pocket
As other suggested that we might receive this phone. I doubt that they will take this much hit after refunding customer for not on time delivery. I could be wrong.
I think you should ask for compensation, stay that this has been an inconvenience and you have waited for a month.
push them a little and you will get a $30 or $40 credit

They gave me refund of $15.60 for Nokia phone case I bought from Amazon. No credit
also got the same story - lost in transit and refunded. i dont think it was ever sent at all, my tracking never updated apart from the "info received" in the UK a month ago.
all i got was a amazon prime one month extension. certainly the worst experience ive ever had ordering from amazon
How do they give you a prime one month extension? Do you call them?
On checking tracking information, it is coming up that it left UK facility but no tracking after that.
That means you will probably get it, Just a matter of time
Shouldn't you get refund instead of credit?
