Good price but people seem to have bad experiences with the seller.

    • Still have PayPal protection

      • Paypal cannot protect your purchase for 1 or 2 years warranty time. Buy from Tobydeals if you don't expect any warranty from them.

        • How long is the normal warranty?

          • @asa79: Minimum 2 years local warranty for Samsung and Apple products if you buy local stock, I believe.

            • @Spacexyz: What Apple product are you buying that has 2 yrs

              • @asa79: iPhone, iPad, Mac, everything if you buy Australian local stock.

    • I have placed an order 2 weeks ago for some other item still they haven't posted or send any email confirmation regarding delivery or tracking number. Sent them an email 1 week ago and haven't received any reply.

This company looks dodgy. Only hope is PayPal.

  • Was tossing up between these and the buds plus version… but reading around one of the main drawbacks is the lack of "exchangeable tips" to create a good fit in your ear? Like if you are lucky and it fits the shape/size of your ears it's good but if not, it's not great/not comfortable etc.?

    • It has exchangeable ring bits for the back of your ear

  • Just look in your local area for plenty selling them

You'll get warranty and won't have to deal with Toby's….

    • For less then $200?

      • Plenty just over, the market is flooded with them.

Pretty sure someone will bite at $200.

Doesn't need to be less when you get it immediately and have warranty too.

        • so you saying that even if you buy them second hand they will have full warranty more then these?

          • @asa79: Yes

            Their local products

            • @scuderiarmani: How would you claim warranty with a second hand buds live?

That's pretty much the only reason I haven't bought a second hand one yet.

            • @scuderiarmani: How do you know they arent grey imports as well?

      • Many dont mind to pay over 200 if they hv got service. Since your client only cares with take order without providing after service sale

there's heaps on gumtree / market place cause of the Samsung S20 FE deal.

        Sold 2 myself ($200 each)

        • I did have a look on facebook and people are asking $250-300 still

          • @asa79: yep ~ those are the ones still on there….

I'm looking to unload before it gets flooded.

            Pre-orders got delivered today

  • Will take forever to arrive

Personal experience with Tobydeals, you will get many hassles when claiming warranty. They will chat with you back and forth, then tell you the warranty is voided because of your fault (Even it's DOA). Paypal cannot cover 1 or 2 years warranty time if you only want to rely on Paypal protection.

This, they kept my S3 Frontier watch and wanted me to send a video demonstrating the fault while it was in their possession…. $50 plus to send back to HK too.

      They are filth.

      • Same experience, mate. I sent video to them and explain the problem with the product when I used it for the first time. They told me it's human mistake, the warranty for the product has been totally voided. I was like wtf, I only bought it about a month ago… So regretful to make purchase from them. I will see how Paypal dispute goes.

        • I sent back the watch as I realised the sensors weren't working, was quite strange.

They had it for many weeks, kept delaying it…. then asked me to prove the fault in a video while it was in their possession.

Needless to say, PayPal steps in….

But over 6 months, I would have lost it…

@scuderiarmani: Dealing with them is very time-consuming. I could feel that when I chatted with them, they only want to SELL the product and then forget about all the warranty responsibilities for their customers. I only want to return the product on their own cost, and get my money back via Paypal. NEVER HAD SUCH BAD ONLINE SHOPPING EXPERIENCE…yuk.

Why is Ozbargain still allowing them to post deals?

  • Even The reps stay silence in any of negative comments about them in any oz bargain postings …. buyers beware !!!
