  • yea, seem too good to even have 3g at this price!

  • mmmmm… not sure wisc, 4G inbuilt too, I would probably wait till 1 of the major tablet brands have another sale making way for next years/next gen tablets like the Acer Iconia sale and at least someone will answer the phone ;)

    • yeah, actually looks like they mean 4GB HDD…

  • +1

    I think 4G means 4GB built-in.

    • yeah your probably right, would be happy with that…
      seems great though.

  • Most of these cheap tablets have very underpowered CPUs, and this one lists it as "InfoTM 1GHZ" which I'd dare say won't be anything close in power to a main brand CPU.

  • Google Superpad II…looks like one of these.

edit..better yet, check it out on amazon:

    http://www.amazon.com/HDE-10-2-Super-Pad-II/dp/B004TL8IJ6

    • superpad 2 has a resistive screen though.

      • +1

Scratch resistive screens are good :-)

        • funny man…..

resistive touch screen vs. scratch resistant screen

  • +1

3G USB port modem (not included)
    - The so called 3G support actually means you need a USB dongle.

    Memory RAM: 4GB MB
    - What exactly does that mean? I hope it does not mean that they give you a 4GB SD card.

Avoid this I reckon… Acer Iconia A500 was $250… This thing should be ~$100 before it is worth considering..

    • yeah, still great for the price,
havent see the Acer Iconia for 250,
that looks pretty good, if i could get it for 250 then yeah,

      Acer ICONIA TAB A500
      Processor:Dual core, 1000 MHz, Tegra 250 Dual cortex A9
      System memory: 1024 MB RAM
      Satellite system:GPS

looks good… with a USB dongles (rj 45 and 3g)

does anyone know if you can use the standard telstra dongles with these?

cheapest i could find on static ice was 380 though!

  • +1

Stay away from those cheap chinese knock-offs. Like netsurfer was saying, get the Acer Iconia or other main brands when they are on sale! These chinese tablets has crap CPU and build quality.

    • Acer is made in Taiwan, so technically, it's still a "Chinese" tablet.
      :-)

Edit: I was only kidding… My ID shows that I have an Acer tablet.

  • +2

    •Standby time is 15-20hours.

Are you kidding!? My $99 ZTE goes for days. Other specs are bad too. No 3G really. How much RAM? (4GB is flash)
    Official android market support?

    • Good points but:
however, it does have a smaller screen…
I assumed 512 MB, but just realised it doesnt actually say.

does it have a capacitive screen, your comparing apples to oranges…

    • +1

As wisc said, apples to oranges…
You're comparing devices with very different specs.

      1GHz processor
      HDMI
      RHJ45
      10" screen
      Capacitive screen
      Front camera
      etc.

      • Was not suggesting the ZTE over this, just saying the standby time is awful if true. Maybe just a mistranslation.
At this stage, anybody would be crazy to buy an unbranded tablet. Even with decent brands like ZTE and Huawei you should check the reviews carefully.

They are not commodities yet - too many things can ruin it.
The neg vote is for lack of 3G/4G that wisc thought was in it and might have made it decent.

ethernet in a tablet!? Better to carry a pocket wireless access point.

I have a 7inch Chinese Android Tablet that supposedly has a 800Mhz CPU, and other similar specs to this one i got for $70. That 800Mhz CPU is an overclocked 300Mhz CPU, and it behaves closer to the 300 Mhz than 800Mhz. For $70 it's great for entertaining my 5 year old and watching videos. This one does not seem that great a deal. Not with Kindle Fire, Nook Tablet and Lenovo's IdeaPad A1 being released soon all for between $200~$250. Especially Lenovo's IdeaPad A1 has GPS and front and back Cameras (Which Kindle Fire doesn't) available for preorder from Amazon.

    • thanks will look into them… havent been able to find anything with cap screen, GPS and normal rj45 networking. regardless of price, specially at this price…

though doing some reading it looks like most will support USB to RJ45 adaptors.

      erm a1 has a 7"screen not a 10"!

      • -1

Either you really have no clue about tablets, ore you are a "hidden" rep.

        • +2

          wisc is a regular here I don't think he's a hidden rep.

        • +1

erm why would a rep say it seems dodgy…

i just cant find anything else at that price range that has the feature list?

I'm defending them because i WANT a "trustworthy" tablet at this price with this feature set. yet no one seems to be able to find this…
people are saying you can get simular with no link, or items that arent the same…

"no clue" nice…trying to figure out how you came to those conclusions… but there is no clear path…

  • whois looks legit in that the name matches the message on the phone:

    Registrant Contact Name Louis Belcourt

    also registered business details

and thse two seem to match up atleast. (abn on his site to ABN details on the gov site)

dont know why he wont anser his mobile though, i rekon its a superpad or something and its not a cap screen!

  • RJ45? Who wants that?

    • me, wireless is supposed to be bad for the kids/babies brains, so i have gigabit running though the house.
      also slightly better for gaming.

      • wireless is supposed to be bad for the kids/babies brains

Serious? Who told you that? Wifi power is miniscule. Sunshine OTOH is a proven radiation hazard.

  • +1

Seriously, I would rather keep an eye on Ozbargain website, and see if I can grab a bargain like HP TouchPad ($100 fire sale @ Harvey Norman) or Acer Iconia A500 ($250 half price last time @ The Good Guys)

    • but those sales are few and far between! have to be lucky to get one…

  • Its a fake Flytouch, and you should only buy the real ones off Chinagrabber who is a reputable seller. There are too many fake Flytouch's around and this is most obviously a Fake as well. No genuine Flytouch has batteries that weak.

See apad.tv for information on how to detect a fake Flytouch from a real one, and the real ones are cheaper.

    • not advertising it as a flytouch, and flytouch is resistive touch, not cap. flytouch are cheap in general.

  • Not a bargain . The InfoTM processor in this thing will be an ARM 11 - ancient chip architecture relative to the now more common (lower number designation) ARM processors seen in anything half decent. The deceptive non-mention of the RAM means this thing may have as little as 256MB, which is still commonplace in many of the China cheap-and-nasties.

  • Incidentally, people shouldn't be fooled by the appearance of capacitive screens on some of the cheaper Chinese tablets. It's harder to make a good resistive screen (which do exist) than it is for component manufacturers to make a capacitive screen that can be like plaintively poking a brick …

  • 3G USB port modem (not included)
    Scam,not interesting.
I was fooled in scam in Officeworks. I ordered one "ClickFree 1TB Automatic Backup External Network Attached Hard Drive". But I cannot find any network port or WIFI setting when I received it . I called Officeworks, the Reception said will contact vendor. few hours later, He called back said they are right if I connect it to computer then connect to network will become Network storage drive, also I can get refund if I do not like it.
    This scam still there

    • LOL… wow, that is dodgy!

hmm, people making alot of assumptions about these, sounds like its safe to say not a very good idea to buy any tablets without reading some reviews etc.
