Just bought a watch strap from Amazon US because there was finally free shipping. Other than that pretty disappointing.

  • $10 promo credit on the purchase of $100 Amazon gift card + 10x$100 = 1000 Amex points (~$6-$7 value) if paid by Amex. This, I think, was one of the best deals.

Amazon is a cancer business model, no thanks

  • Everyone says Amazon is good or getting better, but they don't appear to have much deals and eBay is still the go-to for anything other than an item held by Amazon's limited Australian stock.

Amazon offers convenience, super fast shipping, top-class and quick customer service and decent pricing (depending on deals/ price match). eBay customer support is non-existent - you are at the mercy of the seller or PayPal. One thing Amazon AU still lacks is the depth/ width of inventory but they are rapidly improving there by having more local stock as well as bringing stock from Amazon US, UK etc. Free shipping and supermarkets-like pricing for household, health and pantry items have been a big plus for Amazon Prime customers I reckon - a territory where eBay just doesn't compete (not that it competes strongly in other categories either). My two cents.

    • Is terrible compared to anywhere else, and we can't even use other countries Amazon's without some kind of proxy mail, it sucks ass.

      • Is terrible compared to anywhere else

I totally agree but we are comparing Amazon AU wirh eBay AU here.

Also, you can definitely browse/ access other countries' Amazon websites but it won't help for your purchase here as those websites won't ship to Australia and if they do, it will be absurdly expensive unless Amazon AU itself is running some promo where you can buy some items from abroad with free shipping. However, even then the items on offer won't be anywhere close to the items available on those countries.

    Wanted to spend: lots…
    Spent: $0

Regrets - yes.. no new toys..

    • True.. not great deals but I found some good toys from Amazon UK on promo prices and shipped free. Not sure if shipping from UK is still free or it was only for Amazon Prime days.

  • No ragrets. Everything I bought I needed and will last for years except the perishables. Thanks for asking UwU!

  • No Ragrets? Yeah, I still haven't made up my mind yet. Not too much interested on the offered items. Why Amazon AU? Was it me only?

  • I bought a month long prime sub and only got the $100 gift card from amazon.

Got the rm750x and evo870 pro from ebay though

    • Grab the extended Kindle unlimited and audible trials while you're at it maybe? Just remember to cancel them.

    No regrets.

      • $299/14TB drive down from $465

        $21.38/TB down from $33.21/TB

Next cheapest I've seen was the $338/14TB which works out to be $24.14/TB

Bought 6, with a savings of $234 compared to previous low or $996 compared to normal amazon price.

    • First time I've jumped on the prime day bandwagon but yeah seemed pretty lame and also quite buggy.

$700 ish - 2 Switch games, lamp, necessities (shampoo + face wash + face scrub + tissues), laundry powder, paper towel, alcohol (Gentlemen Jack + Finlandia Vodka), 2x CK t-shirts, Triggerpoint release ball + Triggerpoint foam roller, $27 frying pan, Switch carrying case, couple board/card games, projector, anti-snoore strips (lol), Oculus Quest carrying case + link (not on sale, but bought during prime period),

  • Got a TeChef Korean BBQ Pan. Glorious grilled meat, here i come.

  • I bought a vornado 633dc on eBay for $230. I wonder if I should have bought the 533dc on Amazon for less than 100. But if the 533dc wasn't big enough then I'd have to buy the 633dc later anyway, which would cost me like $330 in total. $230 for the big one now was probably cheaper in the long run than the 533dc on special through Prime. I know it'd always have bugged me knowing I don't have the big one, anyway.

I wouldn't call junk, SD cards and Switch games to be worthy of a 48-hr Prime sale.

I bought a condom, 30 pack, on lightning deals.

  • I just regret there were no good deals.

  • The JBL Boombox (UK) was a good deal at $307. I hope it gets here. The Megaboom I ordered fro September was cancelled and refunded by Amazon after a month of waiting.

Was tempted to get 1 of the other WD external options as well thou or a 10tb = will regret?

1MORE True Wireless ANC in-Ear Headphones = $200 was $250 - I was looking at the TicPods 2 pro or similar as I asked for any feedback on them, but Penguin8213 replied & recommended the 1More instead, after 3 hours of reading reviews (for reals), I pulled the trigger. I just hope there were worth getting.

  • A bit late to the thread but just for my benefit:

    $35 monitor arm
$18 mouse/desk pad (not prime day deal I think)
    $77 headphones TT-BH090
    $33 sporty little telescope

    No delivery paid

    $163

    One regarts:

May return the headphones as they get stuck in a power loop when connecting to one of my devices.

Really like the monitor arm, will probably purchase another from their ebay store with free delivery. Telescope is also of surprisingly high quality, much fun.

  • I regret spenting too much on Prime Sales prior to the Ebay happy hour where I maxed out everything I have . All those whinging about Ebay + missed this one that paid for my membership fees for 100's of years lol
