  I was thinking of waiting until the Black Friday sales, but this deal is pretty tempting. I'm sure the remote will be put in a draw and forgotten about, the extra battery is something that I would purchase anyway…

  Went from a D3100 to this and can say this is an absolutely stunning camera and set of lenses for the price.

    This is the exact upgrade I'm looking at making. My D3100 has served me well for nearly a decade and is still turning out some great shots but I feel like it's time for a bit of a change.

      Yeah this is a great jump then! I also shot on my D3100 for a decade and it has served me well but I felt I was held back technologically (weak AF plus low res screen made me misfocus many times and not able to check before loading it up on the PC). Now the Z50 is an excellent bump and the kit lenses are such great value. I still use my 35mm 1.8G I use with my D3100 and it's great.

        That's great. I'll be looking to get an FTZ adapter. My 50mm 1.8G never comes off the D3100. I'll eventually look to get some faster Z mount glass but it will require a bit more saving :D
